Thankfully, normal service resumed this weekend. Although we do get the late kick off in London. Big price for a Stoke win, but I wouldn't put it past us.

Bego
Phil 'Hayemaker' Bardsley - Ryan - Wilson - Pieters
Zonz - Adam
Diouf - Ireland - Moses
Walters
That would be my team with Crouch & Arnie getting some game time from the bench
2-0 Chelsea unfortunately. This could be any score for the home side and at 10/1 I think it's short considering we were 33/1 or something mental before our Etihad win

With which Bookmaker was that, and are they still in business?

Is Moses allowed playing against Chelsea? No. Thanks. Than i would pick the same team as superscfc, with Arni instead of Moses.

I'd go with:
Begovic Cameron Shawcross wilson pieters Whelan nzonzi Walters Ireland arnie Diouf
I think hughes will pick the same team except crouch up top instead of Diouf.

I hate this fixture. Feels like someone is going to give me a sharp kick in the bollocks, I know the exact time at which it will happen and how much it will hurt and yet there isn't a single thing I can do about it

Begovic
Bardsley Wolly Wilson Pieters
Whelan
Walters Sidwell N'Zonzi Arnie
Diouf
Let's not make it easy for them, also Shawcross still needs to rest his back

We definitely shouldn't start crouch.

Starting Crouch up front (especially given Walters will be in the side and with Moses missing) is the worst thing we could possibly do.
We're short on pace as it is, let's not hamper ourselves further. Diouf must start up front ahead of Jon-Ireland-Arnie. We've seen on countless occasions how blunt our attack is away from home with Crouch and Walters together.

There will be a red card in this game, and the Ref wont give one to a Chelsea player.

I'll be keeping tabs on this contest while tailgating at Toyota Park before the Fire game. I'm looking forward to gut bombs off the grill, but not the outcome vs Chelski. I fear it may get ugly.

Chelsea aren't that good at the moment but I think they'll get past us easier than they did at Hull in their last game. Hope I'm wrong

Agree with other posts that we need pace, so Crouch and Adam shouldn't start.
I think Chelsea would run rings round Cameron, so Bardsley for me and still keep everything crossed as he may have a "mare"!
Is Ryan fully fit? If not I agree with saving him for more important games.
Begovic Bardsley, Ryan (or Wolly), Wilson, Pieters Whelan, N'Zonzi Walters, Ireland, Arnie Diouf
Bench: Butland, Cameron, Muniesa, Adam, Sidwell, Crouch, Wolly
Sorely tempted to put Muniesa straight back in, but against Chelsea might be too risky.

For me
GK - Bego
RB - Wilson CB - Ryan CB - Muni or Phil LB - Eric
DM - NZonzi DM - Whelan
RW - Walters AM - Ireland LW - Arni
STR - Mame
I wouldn't risk Charlie or Bards as the way Chelsea throw themselves around they'd be lucky to last half an hour.

Begovic
Bardsley Shawcross Wolly or Muni Pieters
Whelan N'Zonzi
Walters Ireland Arnie
Diouf
Subs: Butland Wilson Cameron Sidwell Adam Shenton Crouch
Costa is an injury doubt for them so hopefully he does not play.
3 nil defeat

No Crouch for this one surely. Terry and Cahill have a bloody field day against him every time they meet. Mame down the middle for me, let him run them ragged a bit to create gaps.

MH on his players' fitness...
All of the lads are looking OK, which is pleasing. Jon Walters had a little knock today but we envisage him being OK in time for the game. We also have the likes of Marc Muniesa, Philipp Wollscheid, Erik Pieters and Stephen Ireland all back up to speed, which will help us.

Pace pace pace .Pace will solve everything. Theo Walcott is the fastest player in the England squad-see him the other night? Harry Kane on the other hand doesn't have any pace ,just a touch,a brain,a work ethic and a knack for being in the right place at the right time. Pace isn't always the answer.
