5 of us Stokies took the opportunity to go to this game yesterday, basically to watch a mate play for Cowdenbeath who was at Stoke for a time, Nathanthiel Wedderburn
We were in the Cowdenbeath end and had great fun, but after the game when the stadium was empty a few Stoke fans appeared in the home end with a big St George's flag with Stoke City on having photos taken Just curious why there was another bunch of Stokies there ?

Couldn't believe some Rangers fans were openly making monkey noises towards Cowdenbeaths black players

I live in Glasgow and I'm not surprised to hear racism at Rangers or Celtic. Both clubs are founded on bigotry. They are the shame of most of Scotland

They are the shame of most of Scotland Having recently just spent 16 months in Scotland it's not just Glasgow, it's Scotland, they are living in the past, way to much bigotry. Thankfully I'm a godless, heathen Englishman. It's a shame they didn't vote yes

How fucking sad we have players being abused like this and the media ignores it.

Man U and Chelsea have racist fans. There is bigotry in Glasgow etc don't act like it doesn't exist in this country. Oh there's also the English Defence League which march through areas such as Bradford, Burnley and major UK cities chanting racist abuse and attacking Muslims. It's not more in Scotland at all, 16 months is no time at all to live in that country, I've lived in England for 12 years and I wouldn't slate the English like you've just slated Scottish people. There are scummy people of all nationalities. Sorry I has to say something

Sorry I has to say something It's not so much racism as just plain stupidity with some people and continually celebrating past events that really should be forgotten. Scotland is a great place and I really enjoyed being there. As for "slating" the jocks, then YES! I'm an anglish basta after all and I have seen both sides of their stupidity" we don't eat fish on a Friday, indeed we do Plenty of fuds over the wall, look at how Celtic wanted to completely ruin Rangers, why? What would that do to Scottish football? They've lost their Elgin marbles Worse still, if you look at crime figures you'll notice a spike on a old firm derby weekend, knifings and death. Thankfully, not being Scottish, this bigotry is something that I don't understand. A fair few of them don't even support Scotland and despise and hate the English with a passion. !blame The Normans, pas moi

I moved here in 1989 and stayed. It's a brilliant place. Your comment about "way too much bigotry" and Celtic wanting to completely ruin Rangers makes me think you really don't understand much about Scotland today. Sure there is bigotory and sectarianism - but it is a minor part of Scottish life. Frankly you'd have to go actively looking for it to encounter it (and I live and work in Glasgow). And what happened to Rangers is Rangers own fault. They went bankrupt FFS By spending money they didn't have. Oh - and guess what. Scottish football has survived. Albeit a much poorer version than the league down in England. That's nothing to do with Rangers though - just demographics.

Well he's being used as a centre-half mainly instead of defensive mid But for this game he played left back He's still a good passer of the ball I think he needs to be playing at a club with a squad of full time professionals

Albeit a much poorer version than the league down in England. That's nothing to do with Rangers though - just demographics. Having spent much longer than 16 months in a country that I actually like since 1981, from Paisley in the west, Falkirk, Peterhead and other places more central, East and North there is nothing bitter about my views on Scotland. As there is nothing minor about the bigotry and sectarianism that unfortunately still exists there when it rears its ugly head. Yes the mismanagement of Rangers was of their own doing as was the mismanagement of Leeds, Portsmouth, and plenty of other clubs but Celtic went out of their way to get Rangers punishment increased The only way forward for some of the european countries bigger clubs is a pan european league. There is no place for bigotry and sectarian behaviour when this league starts. As for going out looking for it. Absolutely not, as soon as your accent is heard, so do the comments STEP OUT OF THE PAST SCOTLAND ABD YOUR FUTURE WILL BE A LOT BRIGHTER
