in an FA Cup final, and you have won everything in the game, the score is 0-0 and your team gets a penalty in the last minute, you are picked to take it, do you.
A. Miss it on purpose? B. Try and score?

B
Personal glory rules and they're paying your wages. I'd even go mental and if it was at the Stoke end celebrate right in front of the fans because I know it would wind them up. I am a cunt though.

Kick it out of play, then win the ball back off the resulting goal kick, charge down towards my own end of the pitch, score a spectacular own goal and then sprint up to the Stoke end celebrating.

I'm afraid I would put the spot kick away with ease and dance up and down like an idiot.
Stoke will have a chance again someone time in the next 100 years or so. For me, it would be my only chance.

B and I would expect any other player to do likewise however big a Stoke fan or favorite they were, and I would expect them to celebrate.
I don't like dishonest players who dive, fake injuries or don't give the best they can for the team they play for.

You wouldn't be doing anyone any favours if you missed on purpose. Imagine living with the fact that Stoke's only FA Cup win came about because you cheated and threw the game...

Balloon it over the bar and helicopter in front of the roaring Stokies.

I'd deflect it off the insides of both posts and then smash the rebound against the crossbar.

B - it's the Cup Final and my personal disappointment at stuffing up a chance to win the FA Cup would be only marginally comforted by the thought Stoke won it, regardless of if I missed deliberately, or the keeper saved it

I'd have 'tweaked' a hamstring in the week leading up to the final ,so unable to play .
But surely I'd have 'won everything in the game' during my time AT Stoke ,so by the time of this scenario the Stokie hoards would be blasé about yet another FA Cup win ??

Well, id do the warm-up before the game, walk into the changing room and say 'that was a great game, im shagged now though!', then see the boys walking down the tunnel to the pitch!

I'd hit the post and bury the rebound. Goal would be disallowed because I'd touched the ball twice so indirect free-kick to Stoke. I'd then moan like fuck and blame everyone else for me not scoring and pretend the keeper touched it even though I knew full well he hadn't. Yes, I am Cesc Fibreglass.
