Enjoy your speculation I'm off for a break and will be back in my regular seat at the Britannia stadium on August 8th I loom forward to be being proved wrong on the day as these next level players trot out in Red and White. Will see you.all there What's happening on August the 8th then? Is it a convention for miserable buggers who know fuck all about football?

There has been some crazy multi-personality shit going on over on th'EE. From that experience I'm pretty sure that benjaminbuscuit is in fact Mark Bowen. On a monumental wind-up.
Suck the mop.

The former Manchester City coach went on to concede that Xherdan Shaqiri and Davide Santon will likely be leaving San Siro this summer. Switzerland international Shaqiri only moved to San Siro in January but is rumored to have agreed to join Stoke City, while Santon also leave to make way for more arrivals. Link

Bullshit! I know has much as him and I'm sitting in my lounge watching Emmerdale...............................................................................When I say watching Emmerdale It's on in the background. He might be full of it himself, but I can confirm this story is all over Sky Sport Italia. Furthermore, my girlfriend who used to work at Sky Sport Italia, contacted 1 of her ex-colleagues still working there and they confirmed Shaqiri has rejected the deal at the moment. However, it isn't over for Stoke yet. To me, it sounds like he will see what is out there first. Sounds like decent info, thanks mate. Not what we wanted but sounds legit.

More rumours suggest he'd rather rot in their reserves than join us, tbh.

I'm not trusting anything just yet, there's no way we haven't tempted him, he's obviously out of favour and not in Mancini's plans and we've offered to double his current salary
Just feels like there's more to it than a cheeky bid and straight up rejection

For me, I am not convinced Sky Sport Italia are 100% accurate with their information. That being said, it isn't like there are many media outlets throwing contradicting stories around. For what it's worth, we asked the journalist to update us on any breaking news about him, advising we were massive Stoke fans and we wanted Shaqiri a lot! He has agreed, so of course any news there will be shared

It'll be the same old story, he'll get his agent to have a word with every "Big team" in Europe to see if they can (or will) match our offer. If not he'll join us as the last resort.

Why would he openly say yes I want to move ?? If he seems to dig his heels in a bit he will get more from Inter for the move.

I am not sure where the idea came from that he can't get in Inter first team though. He played every game I saw and a total of 16 league games in a 6 month spell. I think there were only 18 games available from when he signed...
Inter fans generally want him to stay and if he does, he will play a big part again.
Mancini wants to sell him because he has his eye on (in his opinion) better players, such as Perisic and Salah who will cost less than the 17m he would get for Shaq.

More rumours suggest he'd rather rot in their reserves than join us, tbh. Maybe, but where are the rumours coming from? Arsenal fans? Italian nobody's on Twitter that want to save face?

Not sure that Zamani guy is Italian to be honest and any others all seem to be reputable journalists. In all fairness, the social media game of contradicting one another, is just to get hits. Really hard to find where the accurate info lies.

Oh! well if that is the case we might as well fasten our seat belts, This is going to be a very long and bumpy road. The Kono thread might just be a warm up for this one.

I saw some rough translations of Mancinii's press release earlier, he says he values Shaqiri and Santon but they have a 25 man squad limit and he said something about trimming a rose which i assume means that players will have to leave and he also said that those two players would do well in the premier league

It's just a matter of time.

He will cost around £4m apparantly and makes an awful lot of business sense if he rates Salah more, to bag the £12m.

Ffs, I understand that he wants to keep his options open but why can't we either keep it private to avoid let down and being laughed at by the world of football? We never seem able to do( apart from Joselu, but that's the first time I've seen it happen in recent memory) but other clubs can. We also never seem able to shake off the tag TP got us, don't know why but it's costing us signings. im sounding a bit like biscuit but I hope MH can do it.

I know that but it seems that we always have transfers leaked and it has to be the way we are handling it. No other club experiences this other than the top 6, and most of them are just rumours and even they can complete deals in more silence than we can!

People are reading too much into things, complicating matters, believing the crap that is being put about by attention seekers and ill informed journalists.
We obviously got close to agreeing terms in Jan, parted on good terms. Things haven't worked out for him at Inter and he is open to joining us - we know that - hence our bid. I am sure we are again agreeing terms with his team, but on the basis that Shaqiri is given some time to mull things over and see if a champs league team from one of the top leagues in Europe match the offer and the personal terms. Maybe we will give him a week or two I don't know.
Some journalists will say he has turned us down etc because it has not happened yet etc - they just need to write stories.
But there is a prospect of this happening unless a Man City, Man U, Arse etc come in for him.
It won't happen overnight and I am sure the player is waiting it out a short while
