Oh dear this will annoy some on here glory hunting so and so " Another local Stoke City supporter is Steven Chen, who started following the Potters when they were promoted to the Barclays Premier League in 2008 and was attracted by the club's red-and-white stripes as well as the fans' passion"

My Lad, almost 3 is just so hyper about it, he can't wait, every time he sees footy on the TV he says " STOKE CITY" and starts singing Delilah.

If Muddy Murphy's is OK we will prob do the same on Saturday, and being as we will be in the final have 2 extra hours, unless of course u wanna watch Everton v Arse in the 3rd place playoff...Oooohhhh...If Carlsberg did tournaments. If the consensus is somewhere else I or others will post here on the Thursday.

I had a nasty accident with a lawn mower last weekend and my trip looked in severe doubt; I had minor surgery on my foot on Sunday, but I've been given the all clear to travel, although I have to inject myself daily with an anti-coagulant to avoid the risk of DVT during the flights I'm on anti-biotics too.....so my drinking will be limited But....I'll BE THERE !!!!

Cheaper than paying hotel prices.

Yes, I know Rog (marrer) quite well; we talk regularly, but we've not met face to face yet (he lives 2-3 hours drive from me) He did mention that you and his brother are great mates, and asked me to make sure I said g'day to you over there Looking forward to catching up with you; it would be great if there was some good news on the transfer front to celebrate, too

I was on the same anti-coagulant injections for a couple of months at the end of last year. Doc made a mistake on one of my blood tests and asked to meet me at my apartment to collect another sample. He promised to buy me a beer in Bangkok next time he was over there in the way of an apology for messing me around. I explained I could not because I was taking anti-biotics associated with my injury and the anti-coagulant. His response was "don't talk shite! It is not a problem. I know of no one who abstains from alcohol when taking this treatment. It is not necessary" I was back on the piss the day after. p.s. there are some scare stories on the internet about drinking when taking Warfarin or similar stuff. One fella allegedly had two bottles of beer and was rushed to hospital with internal bleeding. I never had a problem.

I think a lot of people's drinking will be limited due to the extortionate prices True, limited budget for me but I'm determined to see as much as I can and eat and drink as much as I can afford Singapore is not massively expensive for food. Like Hong Kong & Japan if you avoid posh restaurants (or Irish bars) at night you can eat reasonably well for decent value. Hawker centres are cheap enough for the basics...noodles and rice type stuff and many restaurants in the shopping centres are ok value. Beer is another matter. I am not one for drinking from a 7-11 so I would more likely abstain than drink out of a brown bag on the street. I am sure people will quickly suss out the cheap places. There is a backpacker area behind Boat Quay (I think) where prices can be more reasonable. It's a while since I had a beer in Singapore but I think 4 quid a pint at Happy Hour is probably the best bargain you will find with 6 quid being nearer the norm in standard bars and higher in the posher bars and later at night. My plan on the Wednesday is to drink in the afternoon, watch our game and then go back to the hotel (preferably slaughtered) around 9pm. I will not be hanging around for the Arse Singapore game. If you are really concerned about the price of ale in Singapore just Google "Happy Hour in Singapore" and go from there.

Hello all,
Just a quick post to say that I am going to be there from Friday onwards as the school I work at breaks up on the Thursday. I will be coming over on my own as my girlfriend is off to visit a friend in Hong Kong. Seemed rude not to make the effort to see the mighty potters when so close to Borneo so if anyone is up for a few drinks on the Friday please let me know where your all meeting up etc.
Cheers
Andy

PS I lost my password to my old account (bigfatboss) and could not get a new password as have long stopped using the email address that it was connected to. Therefore if there is anyone going that went to the Hadjuk Split match this is my new account name on here.
Cheers
