We get to Singapore about 10.30am 15th, leave about 11.00am 19th. Trying to sort out a meet the player event, and also they are bringing some home tops with em to sell to locals, again, trying to find out where. Looks like the little un being a mascot is a non starter, but you never know.

I've been meaning to post this for a while. Hope it's useful for anyone coming to Singapore. I've been living in Singapore for the past six and a half years but have decided to head back to Europe. I booked one way tickets home 2 days before it was announced that we would be playing in Singapore. My flight date…….6th July. GUTTED! I could change it, but it's probably too much hassle. Anyway, for those of you that will be coming to Singapore, I thought I would put together a little tourist guide. Here's a few tips for your time in Singapore. There's no getting away from it, Singapore is bloody expensive. Expect to be paying anywhere up to about 10 quid for a pint in a normal bar. If you have a bottle of wine, expect to pay at least 30 quid in a restaurant. One of the only things that isn't expensive in Singapore is transport. The underground metro (MRT) is excellent and cheap. A typical trip on the MRT from Orchard Road (where I guess a lot of you will be staying) to the national stadium probably won't cost much more than a couple of quid and will take half an hour max. Having said that, taxis are also pretty cheap. The same trip from Orchard Road to the stadium will cost you no more than about ten quid. They are pretty easy to get most of the time (other than 3pm and 5pm when they just disappear). All the taxi companies have good apps and that's the easiest way to get them. Go into the app store and download the comfortdelgro taxi booking app. Uber also works here. If you haven't booked your hotel yet, there are two main areas where most of the hotels are - Orchard Road and Marina Bay. The ones around Marina Bay tend to be the more high end ones though (Mandarin Oriental etc.), the ones around Orchard tend to be the slightly older ones. Orchard Road is the main shopping street but Marina Bay is closer to the centre of town. There's also a few new smaller hotels around the Club Street area which would be a good place to stay. If you are on a budget for hotels there are quite a lot of back packer type places around the Arab Street / little India areas which is also an interesting area. Little India is also the place where you will get a very good curry. Khan Sama on Racecourse Road is my favourite, but you do have about a 30% chance of getting the shits if you eat there. Where to drink; It is expensive, but if you look hard enough there are places where you can get cheaper pints. Hawker centres These are the food markets where most of the locals will eat. You can eat really cheaply in these. You'll get a meal in these for $6 (3 quid) at the most and they are clean. I've never got the shits from eating at a hawker market. These are probably the cheapest places to drink as well. You will get a big bottle of Tiger for about $6 in the hawker markets. The most famous one is Lau Pa Sat but the locals will tell you that that is a tourist trap. According to Singaporeans the best hawker market is Maxwell food court, but they all seem much of a muchness to me. At Lau Pa Sat they close off one of the streets around it after 7pm every night and turn it into a street with loads of satay stalls, so that's quite a nice, cheap thing to do. The other good stuff to eat at these is BBQ sting ray (trust me) and Char Kway Teow. China Town There's another place here which is a good place to go. It's a little bar in the middle of china town (which is worth a look) next to the China Heritage Centre on Pagoda Street. You'll pay about $7 a beer here rather than $18. www.chinatownheritagecentre.sg/The best areas to drink if you don't mind paying $18 a pint are; Boat Quay - This is down by the river in the centre of town. It tends to be the place where expat workers will go and grab a beer after work so it tends to be busy from Wednesday to Friday, but a little bit dead on the weekends. The better bars are the ones towards the end where the Penny Black is. If you fancy an Irish pub, there's also one of those on the road behind Boat Quay (Molly Malone's on Circular Road). Circular Road also has quite a few seedy girly bars if that's what floats your boat. Clarke Quay - The next quay along from boat quay. You can walk it from Boat Quay in about 20 minutes. This is packed with bars and clubs. Very touristy but gets lively and there are a few decent bars (Pump Room and the Highlander are OK). Robertson Quay - The third quay along. This is more for breakfast / lunch. There's a good Aussie sports bar called Boomerang which is worth a visit for breakfast / lunch. Orchard Towers - AKA The Four Floors of Whores. Definitely worth a look, but not everyone's cup of tea. It's actually pretty sanitised but expect to be pestered by lots of Pilipino girls to buy them extortionately priced drinks. Check how much your round will be before you get it, otherwise you can get stung. Some of the bars are basically clip joints. The better bars in there are Ipanema (they have a good covers band), Moonshine, and Naughty Girls. Club Street - Again, pretty central with a whole street of good bars and restaurants and is really good on a Friday evening when they close it off to traffic. When the weather is good it will be packed. Good bars on Club Street are Beaujolais and Gem Bar. Tanjong Beach Club - This is on Sentosa (the island off Singapore, but still easy to get to by taxi) and is worth a visit on a Sunday. If the weather is good on a Sunday this place usually turns into a pretty good party by mid-afternoon. Dempsey Hill - This is a little bit further out towards Holland Village (maybe another 10 minutes out from Orchard Road) and is a collection of bars and restaurants. You're not going to have a big night out here, but if you fancy a quiet night or if you are with family this is a nice place to come to. It could be a good place to try chilli crab (at Jumbo seafood). East Coast Park - Would be the other good place to go and try chilli crab. Sunday brunch - If you are feeling flush, this could be a good thing to do. All of the hotels do all you can eat / free flow booze Sunday brunches on Sundays from about midday to 3ish. They are usually about $150 - $250 depending on where you go, so pretty lumpy, but are actually probably one of the best value ways to eat great food and drink in Singapore. My favourite one is the Hyatt on Scotts Road as they are the quickest on the refills, but the Fullerton is also a good one. In terms of other touristy stuff to do; Duck tour - A good quick way to see quite a lot of stuff (to be honest, there isn't a huge amount to see!) Marina Bay Sands Hotel sky park - I wouldn't bother. If you want to go somewhere really high for the view I would go to Altitude Bar at One Raffles Place instead. Raffles - The Long Bar for one ridiculously priced Singapore Sling is good to do, but if you don't go, you're not missing a huge amount. Oh and the last thing, leave your light blue shirts at home. You're going to sweat.

Don't know the numbers but the Stoke blocks look to be selling well, "limited availability" it says so hopeful we should have quite a few over there. Not long now :-) funny only seems like the other day the season ended lol.

franklin indicated that the seating arrangements MIGHT be a little 'relaxed'
Let's hope so
He also mentioned something about a 'meet the players' thing, too!!

Correct. Not sure what they will do in the event of a draw though, as extra time and pens will be almost an hour over run. 1 ticket gets you into both games, us v everton is 1st up, then on the Saturday the 3rd/4th place play off is 1st.
