Super Jonny Walters gets great support at the ground, more so than Arnie imo. I'm not even sure why you've brought these players into the debate. Well, I do actually, but I can't be arsed getting into that tired old guff with you. Walters has never had much support around me at the ground. I was a lone voice for quite a while. They've all seen the error of their ways now though. Same here, no doubt they will turn again after a few (by his high standards anyway) off games.

There's a ten page thread because there's a heated debate not just abuse. You're having a laugh if you think that in seasons gone by Walters hasn't taken a lot more stick on this site. Anyway my point was at the ground. If you think that Walters or Shotton in particular got more support at the ground than Arnie does then we'll just leave it here because we obviously won't get anywhere Super Jonny Walters gets great support at the ground, more so than Arnie imo. I'm not even sure why you've brought these players into the debate. Well, I do actually, but I can't be arsed getting into that tired old guff with you. Purely because off the expense involved, that's it. I don't want to go over old ground either hence I'm trying to be quite neutral in what I post. Walters has had great support this season, rewind from 2012-the end of last season and that wasn't the case.

I think he'd make a good wingback.

A goal and an assist definitely not a bum. Hopefully a confidence boost.

Lovely touch and assist followed by a very nice finish. Arnie has so much potential and is SO frustrating to watch when we all know what he can do. Hope he has a blinding end to the season.

He doesn't work hard and sulks when he loses the ball a few mates have said tonight. Unbelievable!

There was an incident in the Palace game where they broke on us at pace and we were all at sea. Arnie was our most advanced player and he sprinted back at full pelt to catch up with the Palace player (no idea who it was) and put him off his cross, which he hit out for a goal kick. He then returned to his position and from the resulting goal kick, a ball was played over the top towards him. He went after it but couldn't reach it and didn't really manage to break into a sprint.
Someone a few rows behind me went ballistic at him for being 'lazy' when the ball went out of play. He can't win.

He's our best winger defensively by some margin.

He doesn't work hard and sulks when he loses the ball a few mates have said tonight. Unbelievable! Hey everybody, normally i'm only reading here, but i have to answer to this s*it. In every newspaper, Arnautovic was rated as the best Austrian player together with Alaba (both got a "1" which is best, "5" is worst). He worked EXTREMELY hard defensively, was the most active player in the offense (most ball contacts!), and when he scored his goal in extra time, all Austrian players came to celebrate with him (because of his long goalless streak). I haven't read ANYTHING negative about him (apart from the comment above) and even coach Koller said he's very happy for Arno because he worked so hard in the last qualifiers and deserved to get his goal. Sorry for my bad english, regards from Austria, Atta

Arnie is a really good player who needs this sort of confidence boost. We need patience to wait until we gave a side that is less unsettled by injuries.

Thx I just wanted to make that clear, because i've read some strange stories here in the past, about alleged "problems" or something with him in Austrias team. Since he left Werder, he's a model pro and one of the reasons for Austrias current successess. I think he's sometimes too dissatisfied with himself. Even when he didn't score for Austria, he was always important for the offense, but he wants to score goals too, only playing well is not making him happy . Hopefully he's gonna have a good season finish for stoke. Regards, Atta

Many thanks atta for your contribution.
I'm sure Arnie is just misunderstood by some English fans and will improve his understanding with the other Stoke players.
Good to hear from Austria, I once had a great night at Stadlerhof Wilhering getting drunk and achieving an "Austrian diploma in farming".

Hehe, so it seems you're even more Austrian than me Yeah, i know that Arno isn't "for everybody", and at the beginning of his career in the national side a lot of fans didn't like him, just heard the silly stories of german newspapers etc. Now, some years later, there are chants for him every time he's leaving the pitch and a team without him is unimaginable. He's really the kind of guy you need to know longer and better to like him. Have a nice sunday! Atta
