Thinking of moving from Sky to Virgin and saves myself £50 a month! I currently pay £15 a month for BT Sport which I can get free with Virgin
Anyone got any feedback and knowledge of Virgin?
Is broadband any good? Is it reliable?
What's the Virgin TiVo box like?
Thanks
Padders

I've got Virgin for tv not used them for wi fi though I'm using BT , im moving house soon and may give Virgin a go for the lot . The only negative was when I switched from Sky 3 years ago I can no longer pre set to record match choice which was great for recording Stoke games if I was away on holiday . TiVo box is fine once you get used to it , massive memory

Just tell sky you want to leave as the costs are hitting you a bit too hard at the mo You'll get it half price for 6 months Personally, I'd fuck the lot off as sitting staring at a tv on the wall full of repetitive programs is mind numbing. I've noticed it's more addictive than smoking Halfway through a cigarette and thinking " this is fucking horrible" ...same with sky

Only thing I can't get on Virgin worth watching is Game of Thrones 150 meg broad band is awesome TV picture quality is much better free BT sports better recording options, etc etc
Down side , well not much tbh usual crap customer service with all the singing from a song sheet crap about rebooting your router might solve the issue.

There's lots of offers going round but just watch that the contract they send you has the correct figures on. I'm in the process of moving to Virgin but I'm still waiting for them to send me the correct contract after 3 weeks

We were with Virgin for 8 years-no real problems apart from early on with the broadband-and that was easily fixed.
Been with SKY since late November last year and must admit it's all good-never thought I would say that after hearing so many horror stories.

Tivo's decent for apps, but if you already have a smart TV it's nothing special.

I have Virgin TV, phone and broadband internet. You also get a discount deal on mobile phones and network. Been on it for years, when it was Diamond Cable, then NTL and now Virgin. No problems, good service. My family package gives me nearly all the sports channels (including BT Sport and ESPN) without paying extra. You also get a very useful Virgin Box, which always makes me chuckle, with an excellent recording facility.
I tried to get some kind of better deal by threatening to switch to BT about 6 months ago. Didn't get much out of them though, probably because they could sense that I couldn't really be arsed to switch, which I couldn't.

So far as I can tell they're all a bunch of lying fuckwits

I have Sky TV in three rooms but a Tivo box in one room ! Virgin broadband 152meg is brilliant but I prefer Sky TV to the Tivo Virgin TV.
