In an ideal worl Louis figo beats blatter and is Fifa president long enough to stop platini ever getting it I sense Blatter's successor will eventually be Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad. And he'll be worse than Blatter.

Have never quite understood the rational behind such lofty positions and who gets them, I can't remember any high profile ex player ever getting in, obviously Platini, and hopefully Figo are the exception, but what about the likes of Cruyff, Ruminegger, Our very own Gordon Banks, and other world respected players, maybe in the future someone like Beckham, Giggs, or even Dave Kitson would be a candidate.

Love how the story is published in Gulf News. Must have been written by his (or his son's) kind friends in Qatar

Unfortunately, Blatter will remain as president until he decides to step down, im just surprised he hasn't officially elected himself as an unmovable dictator-style figure yet
