Much prefer Moses proven at this level feels like a cheap option and I fancy we may well finish up showing a negative net spend this summer You're being serious aren't you? Indeed. Liverpool were rumoured to have offered £15M for him, weren't they?

In fairness to Arnie, and any other player at the club if the oppurtunity presents itself then we should be always looking to improve. In fairness to Arnie he's had a lot of chances to prove himself and still hasn't consistently performed. If he's replaced he'll only have himself to blame. I think he may be regarded a little higher than you by Hughes and his staff, if he's replaced it will be due to a better player.

I know it's not fair, but the tendency of Ukranians to flop in England still sort of worries me.

Looks like he's playing in the Europa League Final for Dnipro on Wednesday. Knowing our luck, he'll have a blinder and maybe nudge a big fish into moving for him There's the Stoke City kick in the balls right there, Clive. It's known as the Karel Poborsky, Andy.

Is he any good though or what, i've got to be honest I don't know much about him. Liverpool also paid £20 million for Aquilani, £32 million for andy carroll & £13m on Balotelli. Give me more time and i'll give you more examples of Liverpool spunking money

My point is this is a risk because he is unproven for every Bojan there are an awful lot of edu's
Yet to see any real intent to up weight our investment this is another low fee / no fee shot in the dark time will tell but Hughes comment that the next Bojan will cost market rate may be a little message

You have a player worth £10-15 million who can move without a fee being paid to his current club. He will have an agent who knows this and will be asking for a very large signing on fee for his client plus a very large agent's fee to make the deal happen and of course they will also want the wages that a £10-15 million pound player would expect. So while the transfer fee appears as free the actual cost of the deal including agents fees and signing on fee will make him one our most expensive signings ever.

He will cost even more than Diouf, who cost getting on for the same as Crouch when all fees were taken into account. No he didn't. Crouch cost 10 million with a healthy wage, whereas diouf would just be on a healthy wage. And before you mention any signing fees paid to Diouf, do you really believe that crouch wasn't also paid a significant amount for signing on?

Surely with the whole financial fairplay malarky we can't pay over the odds in wages etc

We were prepared to pay £8million for Diouf 12 months before he signed he and his agent both knew it so what figure do you think the agents fee and his signing on fee came too! One thing that you can rely on March4 being correct about is finance.

Am I the only one that just can't see this happening? I would love it to, but I can't help think we're just being used as a vehicle to worry other clubs into entering negotiations with him that may have expressed vague interest to his agent in the past i.e Roma.

I can't see him signing either. The thing is though, Hughes has mentioned a few times about how he is looking to improve the starting eleven so I think we should expect a couple of 'high profile' signings.

Do we need him?
He's a left winger on a lot of money, I'd say not overly so.
