Admin: Please bear with me, I know there are a few more out there. Can iget this pinned until Wednesday please? All in the interest of spreading the brand! Just auto-bump your own thread, it's quite easy. Just mention Hughes and Pulis in the same paragraph. There, I've just scheduled it for you.

I can sing the national anthem in that awful manner you daft gits seem to love? I must admit, I hate it when some celebrity prick decides to sing the national anthem at an event and "make it their own", with all the Whitney Houston warbles they can muster out of one note, until it's truly butchered and you just hope the fly by drown's out the "O'er the land of the free - ee- eee- eeeeee-ooh-aaah-oh-oh-oh-oooooh ..." ! Easy there. That's the song we get to sing cuz we kicked your asses a couple hundred years back.

Are the Qiad Cities Mallards still playing? They certainly are.
Side note: The first season ticketholder in Mallards history? You guessed it. Yours truly.
Ha I worked in-house video for about 70 Bloomington Prairie Thunder games in the mid-to-late 2000s. I remember the Quad City Mallards coming to town plenty.

Another one saying it should be the 'North American Club' , signing up from Calgary, Alberta!! Canadians already play in most of US sports. I'd gladly take them in the USA Supporters Branch.

I forget; whose capital was burned to the ground in 1814, at the same time the U.S. national anthem was composed from a British drinking song (The Anacreontic Song)? Now that was an ass kicking! And I'm pretty sure it wasn't an ass kicking from those terrorists and traitors. It was more of a logistics issue, thanks to a blockade by the French. So, you can thank the French for being able to freely commit genocide on the Native Americans, steal their land, then have a century of violent crime, an ineffective political system that ties the militaries hands behind it's back, so it can't win a war and a media that is more concerned with Justin Bieber urinating in a bucket than half the world being in a state of conflict, including WW3 brewing in Ukraine.

I'm in, if we get a membership pack with a badge and assorted stickers. No photo id cards though, I've met CalgaryPotter and it's best if he keeps a low profile. Not to be a miserable bastard or owt, but how is it going to change our lives? It's not like we can meet up in the clubhouse once a week.

Never saw a mandate or any demand signal for this Association to be a metamorphosis for changing our mundane tragic lives? Best thing is that it will give us a chance to get match tickets when Members get over to the Brittania to see a match. Also we can explore some get togethers if Stoke City play stateside and/or tailgate at select MLS matches.

Getting match tickets easier sounds good, always a headache when we go home. There are two of us btw. Tailgating always fun, we're handy for the Red Bulls or Philly, not sure I could go to watch New York "Citeh" out of principle though.
We also traveled to Columbus, Dallas, Houston, and Philly for the Stoke games. Really hope they come back, it was great meeting up with all the Stokies over here.

Correct, wasn't really an ass kicking. Merely a narrow victory pulled off by a bunch of farmers fighting against the British military. And we couldn't have pulled it off without the French, who were still pissed at you over the Seven Years War. In fact they spent so much money helping us defeat you it led to the French Revolution. And the Native American would have better off with a British victory, unless the Brits treated them the way they treated the colonists. Then they would have been fucked either way. And the political system here definitely ties the military's hands, but it's still far and away the strongest military on the planet. And the burning of our capital was more an act of vandalism than kicking our ass in a battle.

Let's face it we are all Anglophones or we wouldn't be following a storied old club in the Prem. Let's leave the interpretation of revisionist history to the academics And 1860 Oatcake. We need to focus our energies on deciding when we turn out in mass at the Brittania next season.

And the burning of our capital was more an act of vandalism than kicking our ass in a battle. I'm pretty sure George Washington wasn't a farmer. In fact, he was a British officer, who defected to the insurgents because he was passed over for promotion. I imagine if a U.S. soldier did that today, you'd call him a traitor instead of a founding father? I think Canada is a good example of how the natives would have been treated, considering it is exactly how they were treated, which is much, much better than in the south, after all, they fought alongside the British to defeat the American invasion of 1812. And yes, the U.S has the largest and strongest military in the world that cannot win a war against a bunch of uneducated farmers in Afghanistan, with far better equipment and logistics capabilities than sailing boats across the Atlantic. So Washington was an act of vandalism? OK, so they didn't just get their ass kicked, but vandalized? Fine!

Quit hijacking this thread with politics/bollocks! Take your agendas over to Bayern (1860) Oatcake's "Charlie Adam" thread! This thread is about despotism in supporters clubs and spreading the SCFC brand globally. This mullarkey about history is going to scare off prospective members of which I am sure there are at least 10 more out there.
