Fucking hell muttley, you love a good moan about a smoke bomb. Give it a rest Be fair, you'll struggle to find more than a tiny number of Stoke fans who don't moan about letting off smoke bombs. As said above it's potentially dangerous - especially to people with asthma or similar conditions. It spoils the enjoyment of the game for many people who are near it. And, if this sort of thing continues, common sense suggests that we'll start to be given lower allocations for away games. Exactly what are the reasons NOT to moan about Smoke Bombs and flares? The people who should "give it a rest" are the antisocial idiots who let them off.

I hate people smoking in toilets when all i want is a piss - but it will never stop.

I hate people smoking in toilets when all i want is a piss - but it will never stop. When I first started work a colleague was arrested and jailed for doing something which would be 100% legal these days. I'm old enough to remember the days when you often saw notices in the windows of boarding houses saying "Sorry, no pets no Irish and no Coloureds" - my grandfather, like me, hated it - but he said it would never change. I haven't seen a notice like that recently - so I conclude that it has changed. When I was young a lot of things were very different to what they are now - things do change - quite often as it happens. Hopefully a few banning orders for the culprits will hasten the change. To be honest, there isn't the will at the club to enforce the smoking ban in the toilets but I suspect that there IS the will in English football to change on the question of pyrotechnics in the crowd at matches

Maybe a smoke bomb in the bogs at half time is in order?

Life ban for the perpetrator if I was in charge. In fact if I was in charge I'd force those guilty to watch the Vale every week for the rest of their lives. With a smoke bomb under their seat.

And the some of our so called supporters showed it was the right decision! I really can't understand why some of us need to support these morons! I don't mind the smoke bombs, you don't like them. But just because you don't like them doesn't mean others don't, they're trying to add to the atmosphere They do add to the atmosphere, horrible fumes and dyes which as a c.o.p.d sufferer i do not need ,the flares are called distress flares not let`s set on off in a crowded area flares but i imagine that is not a consideration for the likes of you.

The knob that stood slumbering next to me was embarrassing. He kept telling me he was going on the pitch if we scored and he could barely stand up straight. His friend/dad was trying to kick it off with a steward for staring at him. We really have some scum fans and I am seriously thinking about not bothering going away matches in the future. awww, bless ya

Is it really that bad to be around one of these smoke bombs, I mean, they must have passed some sort of safety check to be manufactured...

Is it really that bad to be around one of these smoke bombs, I mean, they must have passed some sort of safety check to be manufactured... Surely it depends upon where and how something is used. Axes and Guns satisfy a whole load of safety criteria during manufacture - that doesn't mean I wouldn't be worried if someone pulled a gun on me - even if he was waving a safety certificate in his other hand.

Probably the weirdest part was why someone would set a some bomb off when we were losing 1-0.

I am completely dumbfounded that people are actually trying to make arguments for the use of smoke bombs in a crowded area of people, diversified between young, old, healthy, not so healthy, etc. It literally boggles the mind. When this thread began I wasn't expecting too many pro smoke bomb posts. I didn't think I'd see any, to be honest.

Fuck me this site really is full of moaning old knob sacks isn't it. Get over it and give it a rest ffs. Other clubs etc read this page, we are giving ourselves a bad name.
- Cracking idea about setting one off in the bog's mind, see if someone starts a thread ' couldn't do something that has been scientifically proven to cause death to others because some sausage set a smoke bomb off'
