Played better at centre the other night than he has played in any position.

Geoff is a very useful player to have around the squad.
His problem is his versatility to a degree.
He can perform in any number of roles but he isn't the best player in the squad in any of those positions.

I was scared shitless when I saw him coming on, but he did well (apart from one moment where he got too close to Lukaku in the first half). I still didn't feel comfortable with him there though. For me, it's as clear as day that he's a central midfielder.
The unfortunate thing for Geoff though is that when everyone is fit, he's 5th choice centre back, 4th choice Central midfielder behind Whelan, N'Zonzi, and Sidwell (probably), and 2nd choice right back.
That said, regardless of my opinions about him on the whole, he played a big part in us getting the win the other night.

Don't think he'll ever be first choice in any of the positions but fantastic to have in the squad as he can competently play in 3 roles, squad would be weaker without him

He did really well. He's very quick so I was confident of him keeping Lukaku quiet which proved to be the case.....

Geoffs best game was v Wet Sham as a defensive Mid...his best position. He has performed admirably in not his natural position when asked.

Thought he was superb but agree. For me, his best performance was when he came on with 20 minutes to go against Swansea in defensive mid. He effectively won that game for us. He totally dominated Bony, something that Ryan, of all people, had failed to do for the first 70 minutes.
Still, he will very likely start against West Brom... unless Wolly or Ryan are fit.

He is like the old saying, Jack of all trades, master of none. Handy to have around though.

His main problem is his inconsistency. He'll get back into the team and play well but then after a game or two something happens and he plays poorly and gets left out.

I agree with pretty much all the comments here, though I rate him higher than Sidwell in midfield.
I was a little nervous the one play where he missed the header and had to recover late in the first half, but other than that played well. He's got great offensive awareness for a defensive player.

He was dodgy at best.
The ball tended to bounce off him like he was a pinball machine.
He misjudged long high balls.
Lost plenty of headers.
And just didn't fill me confidence but he did a job.

It was an error strewn performance, with some solid bits of defending, luckily his errors werent capitalised on. Was it his first half clearance that was sliced for a corner? Sent from my SM-G850F using proboards

He is a valuable squad member. He will always go and try his best for the team, and yes some days he messes up but he will put in a shift. He is not scared to carry the ball at his feet and take on players which I personally like too see from some players.

I think he is fucking mint. A lot of people underestimate the need for a top utility player and forget how difficult it is to come in to a team in different positions and perform to the standard that he does regularly.
