After watching them completely bottle it last night, if we don't beat them we want our arses kicking!

Walters up front please with Marko and Moses out wide.
This game needs pace and skill out wide.

Looks like Hughsey has given the lads a few days off. Great management I reckon and hopefully it will help us in our remaining games given how knackered many of them have looked of late. I actually said at the Everton game that they deserved a little break. Agree, great management. Whilst I agree with giving the guys a few days off I would question why you would want to go back to Dubai having been there only a few weeks before. Dubai is a good city but hardly a weekend destination or a mini break getaway type of place. If I was Hughes I would insist that their travel plans were no more than a 2hour flight away.... Just look what the winter break did for Man City's form when they came back from the UAE.

Little problem for Momo, Tazi and the rest of the throwback crew this one. Do they do a full press version of Mumf's celebrated Argyle caper, or do they content themselves with the usual sniping?

Anything on Wolscheid? Was it his groin that made him come off against Everton?

Pulis deserves a massive ovation every time we play one of his teams This. In 50 years time we'll be telling our grandchildren about the job that he and Coates did in restoring pride to our football club. You can pay him the respect he deserves and still hope Stoke beat his current employers. It's only the PHW who don't seem to understand that

It's nearly two years since TP left. He got an appreciative ovation at Selhurst Park last season, before beating us. I don't see why we owe him any kind of moral advantage this time around. It needs to be as uncomfortable as possible, and thelast thing the Stoke players want is feeling that we support the opposition's manager (bearing in mind that several players have no connection with TP). If we are going to applaud him, let's do it at the end of the game, while he shakes LMH's hand after a thumping home defeat.

Pulis does not need applauding every time we play against one of his teams. What he does need though is respect for the job he did for us and most normal/sane fans would give him that i'd hope. It'll be a very tight game which i reckon will end nil nil.

Whilst we all appreciate what he did, to want to clap him everytime we play against one of his teams is cringeworthy. I don't really see a massive problem in it myself. Id clap every time Stoke came up against Fuller. Applause, then break off into a 'Mark Hughes barmy army' and support Stoke City FC for the rest of the game.

You're thick for not understand that there is a big difference between hoping Pulis beats us, and paying him the respect that he fully deserves for the job he did at Stoke City, and for the local charities he continues to raise funds for.

The vast majority of fans probably won't be aware that TP has come out of the tunnel at The Hawthorns because it's situated on the halfway line and there's always usually a big gathering of people around that area at that time, so all this handbags and arguing is pretty irrelevant.
It was different at Palace and it will be different at Stoke* because he'll have a longer walk and more people will see him make his way to the dug outs.
* Assuming he's WBA's manager if and when they come to Stoke next season!

Forget Pulis. He did what he did. We won't forget what he did for us & we'll be forever thankful, but he's the past. Show respect to Mark Hughes now, by applauding HIM, not a previous Manager. He's now the opposition.

I'd go for:
Begovic
Bardsley Wilson Wolly Pieters
Whelan Nzonzi
Arnie Walters Moses
Diouf
Bench: Butland, Crouch, Adam, Sidwell, Tex, Shenton, Wilko.
This is a difficult one to call, I don't think this is a match for Crouch or Adam. I think we'll be better bringing them off the bench depending on how the game goes.
