Agreed
We are too quick to write our players off.
Charlie gives us something different.

Couple of nice backheels. It's a sign of how strong we are in midfield these days that Adam can hardly get a game. Good stuff Charlie love watching the guy

His deliveries from either open play or dead balls are second to none. He gets caught in possession too frequently and can often be a reduced waiting to happen but his passing is sublime.

He lost yesterday's battle with Barry for the first booking, which was a shame. The first tackle was always going to be between that pair.
I'm surprised he didn't need any oxygen as he was subbed. Fitness is not his main attribute...

He was blowing out of his arse after 40 minutes!!.. funny how we all see things differently.

He certainly ran out of steam early in the 2nd half, can't fault his first half performance though... and considering he hasn't played for several weeks, it probably isn't a big surprise!

He makes things happen does Charlie, and he's not frightened to have a go. Did you notice him thinking about having a dip from inside his own half at one stage? I did, and admire him for it.

I'd have a lot more time for him if he could maintain anything resembling a decent fitness level for longer than half an hour.

Hes a really loveable character with his brilliance and his flaws. The best pub footballer in professional football today.
Thing is if he does leave in the summer which seems likely I really hope he goes abroad and doesnt end up in another Premier League team. I couldnt bare to watch him turn out against us for someone like West Brom or Derby

He did a good job last night. I would much prefer a player like Charlie to give his all for 70 mins and then get subbed, than pace himself to last the 90 mins, doing half the job!

He was knackered before halftime. He really does struggle to stay in shape when he's out of the team.

He's one of those players that you know in 10 years or so after he has stopped playing and training he will turn into a right fat bastard! Really rate him as a player, prefer him to Ireland to be honest.

Always said he deserved more games. Might be your typical unhealthy looking jock but he's a real balls to the wall hard at it player and he always puts his heart into it.

Full credit to the guy, has bided his time and grabbed his chance with both hands. I thought he showed straight from the kick off that he was really up for it and was superb in the first half. As always, he did get caught in possession twice which always seems to be when he comes deep for the ball. If he stays in the other half to pick up possession, it wouldn't be so bad.

He didn't give his all for 70 though. He was absolutely knackered by half time. He was puffing and panting after 20 minutes for fuck sake. It's fair to say though he brings a lot to our team, even for those short periods.

A quick google will show you but to be fair to him, even in his pomp he always looked like a fat bloke ready to break out

Once again expelling the myth that he is a liability. Fitness is an issue but he makes things happen like no other midfielder we currently have on the books.

I'd have him in every week if he was in the condition he was at Blackpool.
