Stoke manager Mark Hughes: "We were very good. We had the setback of losing Philipp Wollscheid so we had to make a change early on a regroup. "But it was typical performance of not allowing anything to sway us from what we want to achieve this season. "It's a fantastic header from Victor Moses and then we are in a position to soak up pressure and hit on the break. "It was arguably Moses's best performance for Stoke City. "It's a fantastic period at the moment, 42 points and we are eighth. We're very happy but we still have work to do. "People were talking about Europe at the press conference but we have never talked about Europe this year, it was all about achieving a points total that was greater than last year. "I'm not sure Europe is achievable but we will have a go."

What a great guy, never the victim, just gets on with it. With all the injuries he's got plenty of excuses for under performing. Instead he just gets on with it, and keeps the fit players going.

Sometimes I have to pinch myself!
This guy is top drawer. Thank God he screwed up at QPR. Otherwise I'm not sure it would have ever happened? That is a frightening thought!

So happy that Mark Hughes is representing our club. Top bloke, always eloquent, clearly has a good relationship with players and is a great man manager. Love that he stays to clap the lads off, claps the fans and never bullshits when things haven't gone our way.
I'd like to think he's feeling the love from the stands. He deserves all the plaudits he gets for transforming us into the team we are today. I hope he calls this club home for a long time to come.

Diouf and Arnie really were inspired substitutions to introduce extra pace and catch them on the break when we were beginning to look sluggish up front.
Such positive decisions and just what was needed.
I can think of a certain previous manager who would have bought on a couple of extra defensive players and dropped deeper in those circumstances.
