Peter Crouch is not only getting close to 100 Premier League goals but is also likely to make the all time top twenty sometime next season if he stays fit. I remember Beattie being close when he was at Stoke - but I don't think I have ever seen a striker go downhill so quickly. Thankfully Crouch seems to have been made of sterner stuff. Prem top scorers

Prem top scorersYes, he really is a special player and perhaps the most unorthodox top striker the Prem has ever seen. I think most Stokies will now agree that when he joined us we didn't have the calibre of players around him that we do now. I'm sure that this is why it has taken perhaps a little longer than it probably should for many of us to truly take him into our hearts. Personally, since he signed I have always thought that his technical ability was the best i'd seen at the club. I've also got a feeling that he'll also do a Teddy Sheringham and play well into his thirties at the top level, he's a specialist. But more than anything it's so good to see a top player with a superb pedigree so clearly happy and positive with his lot at Stoke. And he definitely knows where the back of the net is. He'll piss the top twenty.

Surprised that Gary Lineker is'nt anywhere on that list. Did he ever play in the Premier league? Last played in the top division in 91-92 so just missed out. Did score 67 goal in 105 appearances for Spurs-so not to shabby!

Surprised to see Dion Dublin and Emile Heskey in the top 20 each with 111 goals.
Guess they played a lot of games!
