Good evening, do you think it would be possible to take a kettle to the games? I've noticed spare electrical points around the blocks and was wondering if I could take advantage of these to make use of my kettle for a brew? The cost savings will be great for me, I won't have to pay the expensive Stoke tea prices. I don't see a kettle on the banned items list outside the ground. Of course this means taking my mug, sugar, tea bag and milk but hopefully these items won't be an issue. Planning for Wednesday Thanks If you manage to get the kettle in let us know, I'm thinking of bringing a Breville Sandwich Toaster or one of those George Formby Grills

I have just been told by a friend named john littlewood who has a friend named toby harris who works as a steward down at the match that he would have to confiscate my kettle if i took it down and plugged it in at the concourse as health and safety would not allow this. However he did say that he is sure that Barbara in the upper tier kiosk would allow me to have some boiling water if my bovril runs low.

Great idea, infact if I take my missus to the match I wonder if you are not using the socket she could maybe plug her iron in and do some of the weekly ironing during any lull in the activity on the pitch. Is she on the Board =)

I'm concerned that this could cause some trouble between you and other fans at the game. It would only take a couple of people to take offence, and things could quickly get to boiling point.

A saw a horrific movie last night. It was about a boy who accidentally knocked over a kettle and scalded himself with hot tea. The film shouldn't of had a PG rating imo.
I trust all this talk of a brew someone will remember to bring the custard creams maybe waggy? That is if they are his biscuits of choice.

Planning for Wednesday Thanks Kettle should be fine and dandy, but fully caffeinated tea bags maybe pushing the clubs patience a little, peanut free milk would also be a less risky option too.

As an electrical engineer I must say I am a little concerned with all this talk of kettles, irons, microwaves and George Formby grills being plugged into various sockets throughout the stadium. I would suggest that each of you take a decent diesel generator to supply the necessary power for each heating device. I am certain that the stewards will let you in and you won't be heard with the noise of the crowd building to a crescendo when SJW hits the second half winner

I'm not taking my diesel-powered generator to the game. Not after what happened last time.

When will you have chance to watch the game if you're busy making brews every 5 minutes. I suppose you could pull an extension in and put the kettle under your seat. The steam will be a welcome comfort if Wednesday's weather forecast holds true. Just make sure if you take some gaffer tape to tape the cord down otherwise someone might trip.

That will supply great warmth.

I need this information before i construct a letter to tony scholes

Not bothered about the kettles and microwaves etc what worries me is the plastic carrier bags. Once you let go of them they go onto the pitch which causes more excitement than the game. It isn't fair on the players.
And by the way if you need a tea bag you can have mine, I have only used it twice.
