Brilliant performances from both today. They swept up well and deserved the clean sheet.
I thought Wolly was especially composed, and led the line like in Ryan-esque style.
I wonder where all those posters who wrote him off have disappeared to?
He is an excellent acquisition.
Onwards and upwards.

Wollschield has had better games I thought...and worse....smiley is right though,Hull weren't much of a threat. He's done a job for us while we've been short handed with injuries but I think he's just too slow for the premiership

Most teams with the likes of Shawxross and Huth out of the side would get turned over every game at this level. It just shows the strength and depth of the squad and the quality of it . I suppose with Ireland now out for Three or four games we cannot afford any more injuries in this department , but at least we are now safe.

That block/tackle by Wilson was massive for us, they could have nicked a point if it wasn't for his intervention. Wilson gets stick, but we should all remember, he's played for almost 2 seasons now at centre half just for the good of the team and he should be applauded for that. I'm sure he'd love to be playing in midfield but he's taken one for the team so fair play to him.

I'm not a huge fan of Wilson but I'd have him playing for us than Shittysacker at Arsenal

I think you can get away with that in some European leagues but not the prem and in 1 on 1's he's hopelessly outpaced.

Wolly looks class, hes come into the side and has imposed himself as a rock in Ryans absence, I think we might be looking at Huthys heir. As for Wilson, I'm not a big fan of him at centre-half, but hes a more than adequate cover player for us, and he was solid today.

He doesn't have the choice of playing in midfield as he's not good enough so it's play elsewhere or sit on the bench. You don't get credit for that. For me he's exactly what he is which is very good cover for various positions when we have injuries. He's a decent pro and always try hard so rarely gets criticised by me.

We lost today but this chap will be a disaster every time we play against pace and mobility. Two examples in first half when there forward just walked around him like he was not there.Have him as 3rd or 4th back up but not as a starting CH. Captin Phillips can turn quicker, he is so slow its unbelievable. Decent game today but we won so his lack of pace and mobility is not mentioned. Lost and would have been an issue.

Before we signed him, he was Portsmouth's best player, playing in Midfield (the season he missed the final due to injury) and he was getting lots of plaudits. He's never really been given a chance in midfield ( not really complaining about that) so we don't really know if he's able to cut it.

The jury is still out on him IMO (wolly), he reads the game well and is steady on the ball but is shocking slow , alarmingly so !

TBH all the back 4 were excellent today however I could have played instead of any of them and looked excellent against that Hull side. Gouranga.

Wilson was terrific. Put a very good intercepting header in part way through the first half. Very impressive today.
