It took about half an hour for you to get a reply - this is disgraceful, you are spending far too much of your life in ignorance - you must learn to use a search engine (Google is a good one but there are others available) and then look up his Wiki page. Or, of course, you could have read this thread. Sorted! Why would i bother looking on google for Stoke's acadamy players? Not like i'm ever going see them is it, with the shit record that acadamy has for producing players. Bit harsh one or two are starting to look alright now, it can only get better.

His stock is certainly rising in League 1. Only 20 so a bit of a kid. I wonder if we'd consider throwing him into a few pre-season games before next season and evaluating then. He's a big strong lad so I don't think we need to wrap him up in cotton wool like Shenton.

He and Shenton need gametime and experience.

I don't know why but I'd love to see these two get some significant game time. Two talented players. They deserve a chance.

Slightly worrying that his contracts up soon! If we had any hopes for him would he have been resigned by now? Now he's playing and scoring you would think he would see his future away from Stoke ?

Maybe but if he has ambitions to play in the Prem he might feel we are as good an option as any. Need to get him signed up ASAP, though - providing that Hughes sees him as a decent prospect at this level.

Coates seemed to say in a recent interview that the U-21s and 18s are not at the standard that our academy aspires too but further down the age groups we have some good teams who are holding their own. It does seem that we are losing on a consistent basis in the older age groups. I doubt we'll see any, save for one or two make the grade for a few years yet. Shenton, Coban and possibly N'goy may do but I think Waring and Alabi and others will be gone at the end of the season.

Evening, long time no speak.
The goals have dried up, but he's contributing a lot. He held the ball up well today, put himself about and caused all sorts of problems with Preston's centre half's.
He's loved by us, even had a song for him today. Hope we get to keep him beyond is loan spell.
Unlucky for you guys today, Palace seem to be playing with a lot of confidence as of late and could turn any team over.

It'd be ludicrous to let a 20 year old who is doing well in the Football League go. Harry Kane shows this.....he had a very similar record in his few loans. Now I'm not saying Waring will be that good but he's definitely one we have to keep and see what happens.

But will he resign with us? Good question. Couldn't begrudge either outcome in fairness.

Certainly it is worth offering him a contract big enough to tempt him to stay. He needs a chance to show what he can do at Championship level. But 6 goals in his first 18 games in League 1 at age 20 suggests is well worth a chance. He's 6ft 5ins and probably needs another year or so to add some strength and he could turn out to be just what we need. Didn't he once score 4 in one game in the U21s?

I know George was highly-rated when he joined us from Everton (although they let him go!) but what's the word on him from our own back room boys? Does he have what it takes? Will he get another loan next season? Could he do it in the Championship as a next step up or is he still not quite at that level?

6 goals in 19 for Barnsley, only 20 though so still young. Wonder with some proper service from someone like Charlie Adam whether he'd score a few more headed goals!?

Could be a long term Crouch replacement? Maybe a season on loan in the championship would be ideal.

Everton also let Shkodran Mustafi go on a free and he won the world cup two years later.

Ahh gutted he's been offered a new deal. Happy for Stoke though, hopefully they can work closely with him and develop him.. If not... then send him back to us on a 6 year loan deal

He will go on loan again presumably. Stoke/the player would probably want a Championship club for him? However if that doesn't materialise sending him to Barnsley for a season should suit?
