We can be Franklin, we need to be like it 100% of the time not just when we have a shit decision go against us! Let's get our famous atmosphere back from the first minute tomorrow! I dunna want to start a debate about why but I feel that we have had more to shout about this year or so and it is better, but our crowd are just vicious and scare teams when things go against us. I'm going to get Block 16 revved up today - if thats possible.

Ask Danny Rose what we're like. I've never seen anything like that in 28 years of following the Potters. It was bloody great. I still think the Man City and SWP treatment was worse than even the Rose abuse. Without a hint of any racist overtone, SWP turned white with fear that day and couldn't wait to get off the pitch.

I seem to recall that Wayne Bridge told Beattie that the atmosphere that day was like playing at Galatasary.

A couple not mentioned...
Kavanagh got an amazing level of stick on his return. He did us by leaving that free kick though, never in a million years did I think he would not take it and I'm sure it took our keeper by surprise.
When the ref disallowed a late goal against Man Citeh for an alleged foul on Given I thought there was going to be a riot.
Ronaldo got some great abuse and should have been sent off (as should Rooney!) but the powers that be were never going to let a team with our reputation at the time beat their Champions League hope.

Fairy dull game for 70 minutes, save from another incompetent referee. Fair play to Steve Bruce for reacting the way he did in tge 1st half.

Thought we were okay today given it wasn't a great game.
Can't wait for Danny Rose to come back though.
Are there any other fans in this country who can claim they forced the opposition manager into making a substitution?

The atmosphere is always shit when we put more fans in the south stand
Some couple were sat by me with their two kids. The kids were playing iPads and the parents were moaning about swearing. That is quite typical of when they get rid of all those cheap tickets. Then left on 80 minutes.

The Tel Aviv player that kicked his boot at the linesman is probably the best example of the crowd getting to a player.
Also one of the funniest things I've seen at a football match.

Very quiet today.
And, let's face it, that relatively rare snarl we had has disappeared.
Nothing to be ashamed of, but that wide-eyed aggression that we'd waited 23 years to unleash has gone now and we're as uninspired as every other ground, save for the odd 5 minutes here and there.
There just aren't any hostile grounds around now, although Palace make a good din. That'll wear off in another 18 months though - it happens to everyone when they get their feet under the table.

The odd thing is we came across very frustrated, angry and volatile on the stream. The commentators were constantly talking about how the crowd was reacting. The atmosphere always comes across better on the streams, there's no doubt in my mind that the tv companies are strategically placing mics and adjusting the sound to better sell their product.
