Just been listening to Radio Stoke interviewing Tony Scholes. He says approximately 1500 more season tickets sales and they'll seriously consider filling the South/East corner in.

Do it now and sell the tickets once it's done.

Do it and then get 'kids for a quid' going in there, at least short term and especially if we don't sell the extra out to begin with.
1. It gets it finished 2. We can use the capacity as and when we need it 3. Using it for KFAQ is giving the future generation of fans the chance to get into the habit.

I'm certain I've missed this on one of the many 'fill in the corners' threads, but how much are we talking to do so? And approx how many more seats would it provide?

Very little and very few I believe. It's not just about the amount of seats though, it also means the stadium, which we built on a shoestring, can start to look like it's finished. At the minute, let's be honest, it looks half-baked and doesn't reflect our current status. Big screen on top of the changing rooms corner; seats in the big screen corner; and upper-tiered seating in the St Johns Ambulance corner, which means we can still accommodate St Johns. Top and tail it properly, and you've got a finished stadium.

How long have we got left on the planning permission granted to do the work ?
It only lasts 5 years ( I think ) before the club would have to re apply

Our stadium is a bit small for a top half premier league team. Needs to be at least 30k

Get off your lazy arse and sell them Scholes.
Typical of Stoke and football clubs in general. They think that just freezing the prices is all they have to do to get fans flocking in. Bone bastard idle the lot of them.

I'd stick another tier on the Novus Stand as well and extend the family stand up there.
Grow for the future.

Do it now and sell the tickets once it's done. There's no guarantee that they'd be used though, the fans have to commit first.

I'd stick another tier on the Novus Stand as well and extend the family stand up there. Grow for the future. Better to have symmetry so the North/East/South stands form a U shape. Then extend the second tier of the East stand to cover the teams tunnel and another tunnel in the North/West corner for ambulances.

A ground sponsorship would pay for it! Come on Scholes find a company to fund an EPL team. We've had sheds load of good publicity re Sir Stan's 100th birth date recently. Our reputation is on the up so get that sponsorship in!

Things is they won't sell another 1500 ST's as they are to dotted about so if a family want to buy say 4 seats together its not that easy. Fill the corner in and hey presto plenty of seats in blocks together. Me and my old man are together but my cousin is two rows further forward and my best mate is just above disabled section in the boothen as we couldn't get four together when they started coming again.

Spot on. One of my Villa mates did not understand this problem. They can get seats for the entire family to sit together.

Good point ref selling extra tkts together. Club have come up with great ST price plans, but this is something that perhaps needs considering? The other option we have is to build & then look at who sits where, possibly giving away fans more tkts? Clubs like Man Utd, Liverpool, WBA etc would prob sell them. This may mean a change in what stand some home fans stand in but for the benefit of the club, this has to be a choice?

Embarrassing small mindedness again from the club and the "Commercial team"
If they cannot think of a strategy to attract a further 1,800 fans to watch a top half premier league club then they should not be running this aspect of our club! The fact is that this will create more seats that can be purchased "Together" thus meaning more interest from families and parties larger than one!
Like a poster said above stick away fans there and have home support behind both goals and away fans away from the tunnel and kit in eyeshot of the away team walking on to the pitch!

Plus, it is very unlikely a subsequent reapplication would be refused unless there were a significant change in circumstances, e.g sewage disposal had reached maximum loading due to other local development.

They should fill both corners in and have them as pay on the day....that's cash at the turnstile like the good old days when you could just roll up and watch a game.
It's not as if the club couldn't afford it.

We should be looking for 30k minimum. Anything less than 35k is small time for the Prem Imo. We won't fill that now, but it's something to aim for. To be honest I don't see why we don't prepare in advance.
