I like the idea of the club selling ST's at a cheaper rate for 300 single seats dotted around the stadium. They could put stickers on them for the rest of this season saying something like "this seat is available for 2015/16 on the cheap under the Billy No Mates initiative"

Why all the jizzfesting? Could understand it if it was a 20% reduction and then another 30% next season when the TV money increases. That way tickets would be half the current rip off price and perhaps more fans might get a chance to buy them and Scholes statement "to keep prices affordable for all" might have a ring if truth

It's great but why should some one get a seat next to me for 50 pound cheaper? It's not a moan but it just doesn't seem right to me.

Why does it mention 10,000 season tickets available for the £344-£359? Don't think we ever talk about how many there is at the lower cost? Is the Boothen end/Family/ sounth stand section? Might just be reading to much into it!

I do applaud the club for the season ticket freeze (I think prices could have been reduced, but I guess that was very unlikely to happen). I do agree with your point though. I sit on my own in the away stand (can't remember the name) and I have a bit of a dilemma now. Do I repurchase my ticket at £344 or take a risk and wait to potentially get £50 off?

They should of made it £294 for everyone if they were gonna do it for a few.

I think its an incredible gesture from the club. Now if you're talking about match day prices I'm fully with you, Forty odd quid for certain games in a City such as ours is frankly disgusting and completely incongruous with such a wonderful offer to season ticket holders. Lets hope the club see fit to address this and apply their fine words to all supporters.

To set your mind at rest - myself, the bloke next to me and the bloke next to him all met as a result of coming to matches on our own and getting season tickets in those particular seats over 10 years ago - so if you did sit next to us you'd find yourself fitting in well. Not that there are any spare seats around us anyway - once you are "in with the in crowd" you guard your seat jealously - seats only become available on death - and even then only if they are not left in the season ticket holder's will.

That's great Stoke... A price reduction would have been nice but a freeze is what I expected to pay!

I dont see the advantage to the club of this one seat thing, surely any billy no mates sitting alone presently will just upsticks for a cheaper ticket, leaving his current seat as a odd one again. great for the single individual but not for the club.

I'm more interested in money being provided for Hughes next campaign as no doubt the ST freeze will be Stokes excuse as to why Hughes won't be backed "again".

I suspect the seats won't be released until after the main bulk of seats have been sold and probably they will be at that price for one season only - i.e. if/when they are renewed for 2016/17 they will be at normal early bird price. They'll probably only be available to people who up to now are non ST holders. Either way it is a reasonable initiative to "fill in the gaps".

Yes spot on Lakeland , that's how I see it too , it's aimed at disposing of those troublesome 'odd' seats that are toxic when it comes to full price season ticket purchasers ,it makes good business sense to flog them off at a reduced rate, in the hope that the seat holder will just take up the regular 'early bird' price , In subsequent seasons. Personally ,I'm going to just wait a bit longer , and buy two seats together ,hell I'd even pay a premium rate for them .....as long as they're positioned in the 'Newly filled in corner'

Any idea when full price list will be released. I take my 17 year old daughter and 13 year old son can't see what price they will be ? And yes I know they are frozen but my daughter was UNDER 17 last season so what price now she is 17 ??

Guess that cost differential happens in reverse already today right? If it does not now get sold on the 'no mates season ticket' scheme then it may sometimes go to a hapless 'pay-on-the-day'er' who is stumping up double or more for an A class match than you are paying on average for your season ticket.

Can't believe anyone's complaining about this.
Compare us to other Prem teams and then reflect on how fortunate we are.

"An incredible gesture from the club " or is it a simple realisation that to increase prices would result in a fall in support. A business is not a business if it fails to appreciate the limitations to the local economy. In Stokes case , I think they've got it about right.
