MH: He's not available. He's back at the club. He feels an improvement. The time away seems to have helped. Certainly next week we'll get him running and jogging and take it from there. We want him back ASAP.

We want him back ASAP. No we fucking don't. We want him back when he's ready. This man is probably the most talented defender we've had for a long long time. The last thing we want to do is rush him back and fuck him up for good. Let him take his time. Buy him the new FIFA game and tell him sit on his arse until it feels right.

For some reason, if I was the manager and told "Ryan will be able to run next week", I would say "OK good stuff, Ryan, don't come back next week, come back two weeks later". What does 2 games mean in the context of our season!

Sorry Dave I meant to ask what his injury was specifically apart from a bad back , I haven't read any sort of diagnosis

Just listened to both Adam and Hughes on Stoke player and it sounds to me that Ryan may well be back in the team sooner rather than later.

Hughes isn't a manager from the Alsager & District Womens Sunday League. He knows what he's doing.
When he says he wants Ryan back "as soon as possble", of course that inludes the unspoken caveat "when he's ready". We're not dealing with rank amateurs here, neither Hughes nor the club's medical staff will allow Ryan to be rushed back before he's ready. Even if that takes all season.

Cobham I respect and admire your reason too and although I've had a ban for a foxtrot Oscar I do try and stay in the challenge not abuse area despite some provocation still fire and kitchen spring to mind. , Sorro I just love you anyway but not in a improper way you understand and nobody is happier than me I freely admit I'd haven taken 17th in November or 40 points after Rochdale great credit to Hughes and the players
Still think we will finish 10th
