Whilst it could be argued that the scoreline doesn't really represent the chances and relative balance of play on the whole, it does paint a picture of how we were (imho, rightly) punished for some major defensive fuck-ups. We were all at sea at times; the back 4 seemed to get so little protection, and I thought Wolfie had his poorest game for us so far (not saying he's the only one to blame btw). Still, I'm willing to write it off if it means we get a good win at Ewood Park; which isn't a given of course. Letting in two crosses really changed the game with their class. The Milner goal turned the tide and it was all out attack afterwards.

Concentrate on the more important Blackburn game. When injuries plague a club our size it's always going to be tough to field quality sides. I mean what quality player will want to come to Stoke and sit on the bench when they can do that for more money elsewhere.

Muniesa garbage?! Stop talking out of your backside! Is not garbage but did a big mistake on the first goal, that was sure, he not takes a yellow card for the team. Still think he will become stronger after this match. my point was that calling a player garbage on the basis of one game is ridiculous and typical of some of the tripe posted on here.

Oh well. It was a makeshift defence. After the constant bumming of Man City tonight by the commentators I really hope they don't win the league. They won't if Chelsea keep getting late goals like they did tonight. Mourinho is one jammy bastard. I can't stand Chelsea or Man.City, to be honest; they both have the pick of the best players and the media wank all over them for winning things. They fucking SHOULD be winning with the amount they have spent!

Agreed, but it wasn't just 'letting' the crosses come in - Milner could've done the Times' crossword and still had plenty of time to pick his spot.

I wouldn't read too much into that game. A penalty that wasn't, for Stoke. A penalty that shouldn't have been for Citeh. Some clinical finishing from Aguero and some poor tracking back for the Nasri goal, but the score definitely didn't do the performance justice. It was a few errors, some bad refereeing and some bad luck.

Yep, you could park an Austin Ambassador Y Reg between Milner and Bardsley down our left most of the match.

Milner's goal is an astounding goal. I think Milner is a cracking player. Solid high end premier league pro.

Bardsley has been crap all season and Cameron has never been comfortable at full back. I realise there are mitigating circumstances but that doesn't change the fact...in my opinion....both Bardsley and Cameron are gash full backs.

Up to the next game with the right mentality and hope to recover some players and see some others play more minutes (Adam for me today has to star behind the striker, cause on the wings we were really wanks fomr majority of the match, Moses in particular). The Manager and the players needs our support, is a massive game the next one.

Disappointed but not disheartened I thought we played pretty well, like other posters have said a few defensive fuck ups punished us, which we may have gotten away with from a lesser team.
We played well, man citeh played better. Not the end of the world. Brush ourselves down and go again.

This, they're the reigning Champions and look like they could well keep the title, the only team to do so apart from Chelsea and the other Manchester team... Our squad is threadbare at the mo (maybe that's a whole other discussion), and yes the scoreline flattered them, but I don't take anything away from being beaten 4-1 by Man City, I mean, what's their wage bill again?!

Well... That sucked. But, if the Potters had to drop one this week is rather it be to Man City than to the Rovers... FA Cup bound!!!
