I get the impression it would not take a lot, he behaves like a spoilt enraged brat when he doesn't get his own way, how the fucker was not charged with ABH for the assault on AHH amazes me licensed thuggery, he even announced he was going to do it before the game premeditated assault = time in HMP.

He wasn't hard at all, he always pussied out when he came up against players like Vieira. He was just an ignorant, loud mouthed shit stain. Are you born in 93 by any chance? Because you clearly don't know keane at all. The man never backed down from anyone and always had a ruck with the biggest people on the pitch be it at training or in games.... Schmeichal, van nistleroy, niall quinn... He tangled with them all. Never backing down

He was a dirty bastard who thought he was tough, and because, being a Shite player, he was allowed to get away with it. He wouldn't have lasted ten minutes playing against some of the old timers like Denis Smith, Tommy Smith, Eddie Clamp, Chopper Harris and Norman Hunter to name but a few. THIS! And Maurice Setters would've sorted him out in 10 seconds flat. Hang on......... No - FIVE seconds.

Cunt was at our game yesterday. He looks like Saddam Hussein these days, but with bigger anger issues.

There's lots of players who get stuck in or have that aggressive side towards them, it doesn't necessarily make them hard. Scholes used to be agressive, but wasn't anywhere near "hard"

Shit himself when SJW called his bluff. Tried his big scary Keane routine and SJW stood his ground, Keane then decided to be hard from behind a newspaper.

He's just a dirty pikey cunt who happened to be able to play football. If he couldn't play football he'd be nicking lead off churches and stealing cable from railways.

Jon Walters stood up to Keane's bully boy methods at Ipswich and told him he knew where he lived, Keane responded by grabbing a pen and paper and writing his address down! Keane was involved in a road rage incident the other day in Hale after a fellow motorist asked him to smile

Flawed undoubtedly but a phenomenal player.
Pure force of nature at his best who could single handedly win games.
My favourite non Stoke player ever I think.

Hard. yes hardish there were much harder. Good player Yes he was. Dick head. Yes, Shearer sorted him out easy, you can't influence the game after a red card.
What he was very good at was intimidating refs and other player/person that was a there to be got at Also generally running around doing Fergies dirty work. Which for me made him a total c**t.

Not in the same league has Dennis Smith, Tommy Smith etc. when it came to been hard on a football pitch. Yes, real hard men don't act it. They just are, when needs to be. Keane wasn't and still isn't that hard, hence need for topping up his 'hard' image. (which he still does) Duncan ferguson could play with a smile too, yet I wouldn't like mark him.

Phenomenal players are usually world class, he most defiantly was not world class by any stretch of the imagination, Fergies little pit bull pikey perhaps hard no, nasty vindictive mouthy twat certainly.

In the words of Nat Lofthouse "there were plenty of fellers who would kick your bollocks off, the difference back then was the fact they'd shake your hand and help you look for them after."
Keane does not strike me as this kind of individual whatsoever, and frankly after his disgusting comments regarding Clive Clarke I have no time for the guy.

His performance in the EC semi v Juve was incredible. Immense and absolutely world class. He carried a very average Ireland and United never replaced him. A total nutjob but as world class as they come IMO.
