Not the best game ever -true
BUT
You missed the cracking killer goal by SJW right at the end
cracking header into the home end in injury time
our first and well deserved hat trick in the prem too
Beautiful - absolutely beautiful
AN absolutely perfect end to the game
and - Those who stayed, arose as one to applaud super Jon holding his matchball
pity you couldnt be fucking bothered to stay to watch it
defies logic and belief
(tin hat on - but - like I give a fuck)
OH - AND CUE A PLEATHORA OF LAME EXCUSES

What about those walking out 2-3 minutes early? They missed it too, but are they ok?

A lot of the lot with kids, football teams and schools in the south stand left at about half time. Those in there affected the atmosphere loads. It was completely flat.

People whinge their bags off about the price of football and quite rightly, but then decide to miss chunks of the game. Leaving early at half time 'to beat the queues', having to go the bog because they have bladder issues and leaving early towards the end. Knobs the lot of 'em.

God forbid a situation in life where something more important than football happens?
Perhaps nothing more important ever comes up in your life Tony, perhaps your lucky enough to have no one who may need you to get home those 45-60 minutes earlier than staying to the end and fighting through traffic.
Personally I'm in the same boat, I'm 26, no kids parents are young and healthy so not needed for any kind of care etc. I know others for whom Stoke games is a chance to get away from it all for a bit and enjoy the game, but still have to keep in mind the fact they are needed elsewhere in life.

I had to leave early for the first time ever tody so I could get to Manchester. Ignore what other people are doing and just enjoy the last few minutes of the game

Ok you are joking right? TV never has been and never will be as good as being there on the terraces right until the bitter end. Yes there were periods of the game when we didn't play well and to be fair they were fighting for their lives ever so slightly. But to be there at the end and see Super John score the perfect hat trick on his 200th appearance and put us comfortably on 32 points after Bojan's injury? Well for me, a very good day all round!!!! UTP!!!

I remember being stuck on the car park once a few years ago, about half an hour after the match had finished. Listening to Radio Stoke, and some bloke named Tony rang up and said he was already at home in Warrington. Always wondered how in holy hell he'd done that.

Sorry matey, but for many on here (and I include myself) football is really important and edges most other things in my book. Ok, you may disagree and you are welcome to your own views. In many ways I am with Tony on this one, Prem games often have a twist in the 90+ minutes, I love it and I wouldn't miss it for the world. UTP!!!!!!

If the road infra-structure was better less people would have to leave early - perhaps that's where the money needs to be spent rather than on the corners!!!

I'm sick to death of people thinking that they can come and go as they please they are really taking liberty with the ticket that they've paid for.

We park on Whieldon Rd and walk in over the bridge, leave about 10 mins after the game has ended and dead easy to get off the car park. Prefer the walk too to calm down!

That's all fine and good, but when you post with a hard-on about how great a fan you are like Tony does assuming others can't be bothered to stay, then its a bit more worthy of derision.

I buy a season ticket every year, knowing that I have to leave on 80 minutes for family commitments on a Saturday, so you can get fucked. I don't say I'm a bigger fan than you because I pay the same or more money knowing I will get less use of it.

What a fucking stupid thread this is
Anyone can leave whenever they want. If I didn't leave early I would be stuck on a car park for 2 hours, is that excuse good enough ??
