On paper, comfortable win and congrats to SJW on a brilliant hat trick... but after that second half 2-2 wouldn't have been unfair, we really did lose it after HT, having been fluent and assured first half despite being caught asleep for their goal. I guess that's how much we and Sparky miss Bojan - we filled the gap really well for 45 minutes but then lost our shape and I'm not sure the subs helped a lot. But for a side that just lost its playmaker, not a bad day. Big up to Ireland for today, as well as SJW.
7* from me

6 form me. 3 points but poor second half performance and the result could have been different on another day.

10. Showed faith in Ireland who ran the game in the 1st half. Picked Walters against the wishes of many(including me). Rested key players for our push for Europe and cup run.

8. Picked the right team, which created loads of chances. Nervy second half and Adam sub was iffy but the best team won.

I was happy enough with the starting line up and we played some good attacking football in the first half, thanks in no small measure to Ireland. We started the second half badly enough but when Ireland got the hook we looked like we could have easily thrown the game away. Still can't make any sense of that substitution.

8 good win, but then again if Walters hadn't been on the pitch and other things had happened then we could well perhaps maybe have not won
so I'm giving 2 because that is what I might have possibly perhaps have given had we been in a different fucking time dimension for fucks sake!

7. Substitution in second half was strange. Wilson needed a good b*llocking too. Always takes a touch or ten too many and slows play up. Also loses a point for after match interview where he intimated no signings this window.

10. I expected today be one of our toughest fixtures of the season especially when you look at there record. We started well cruised into a 2 nil lead and should have made it comfortable. Awful 2nd half but take nothing away from qpr they had to come out firing but we held them off well.

For the starting 11 - 10/10 Crouch and Muniesa - 9/10 Charlie on for Ireland -1/10
I don't dislike Adam at all, but Ireland was playing well. Would've left him on.

10 - avenged one of our shittier results from earlier in the season.
2 down, 2 to go to complete the full house of proving benjaminbiscuit completely and utterly wrong for the second season running.

Irelands place was justified. Puzzled by Adams sub.
Good result given the players and atmosphere were a bit below par and flat respectively.

Our attacking play withered and died when Ireland went off and Charlie had no impact whatsoever. I thought it withered long before Adam came on to be honest. I can only put that down to their backline being able to push up has the threat of pace up top had gone with the Crouch sub

Should not have persisted with setting up goal kicks to our right wing. This works well when SJW bullies some of the full backs but today we saw that Arnie has no heading technique and he was up against Clint Hill. Clint just picked most of them off. Would have been better to push SJW wide for the kicks.

7 from me.
Right team selection* as evidenced by our lads taking control of the match and getting 2 ahead. But for poor finishing/shooting by all except Walters, kept them in the game. We are still not taking advantage of dead ball situations.
They took control in the second half and the worrying thing was we didn't seem to be able to wrest the match back from them until their last mistake for Walters' third.
Pleasing performance by Ireland, hope he OK for next week, MH clearly has confidence in him.
*Edit. Much better than my prediction that they would come and "park the bus" and make us struggle.
