what was that about?
Walters on a hat-trick. Arnautovic was having a decent game if a little subdued second half. It totally gave the initiative to QPR. He is just so slow its painful to watch at times.
A sub that nearly cost us the game. You only bring Crouch on when you are chasing the game and want to lump the ball forward.
Dont do that again please Mr Hughes

Rubbish, he held the ball up and did some good clearing headers in defence. Hughes knows what hes doing.

not fussed about that one but Adam for Ireland? Personally I believe Diouf for Arnie would have stopped their defence coming forward.

Strange how opinions differ . Crouch gave us a target man for when we enevitivly came under pressure. It meant we almost had a 5 man midfield which , with Moses on the pitch, was great for the counter ..

He is by far the slowest player I'll ever see on a football pitch, he was TOTALLY the wrong player to bring on, we needed pace.

Rubbish op - yet another stokie with an 'anti Crouch complex'
(I personally wouldnt have took arnie off either - to be absolutely honest)
BUT
Incredible about Crouchy - did you not see what he contributed when he came on ?
and when he gets going he lopes like a fucking giraffe - covered plenty of ground for the team I thought
+ heading out dangerous set pieces - linking up play - gave us a new focal point, etc etc
Plus nearly set up an amazing goal with a very skilful dribble along the dead ball line (disallowed)
jesus fucking wept !
Im fucking sick of this anti Crouch fuckwittery
morons at work

I thought he did really well when he came on - the ball wasn't sticking up front and he worked his bollocks off, won everything in the air as you'd expect, held it up high up the pitch and even flashed down the wing a couple of times!
Right call for me.

Arnie having a good game.....WTF....Thought it was a great sub personally, he just gives so much, and at 2-1 the game is hardly over, still in the balance, and at the time I thought they were probably just shading the second half, bringing Crouchy on has to peg them back and open things up for us, as indeed it did,

Utter crap today and the Crouch sub/Walters out on the right was absolutely the right thing to do.

Crouch coming on for Arnie was exactly the right substitution for me and probably should/could have been done a little earlier. After Arnie's recent good performances i thought today he looked off the pace and his head went down too easily and imo needs a goal to get him going again.

Crouchy did alright. What is the op on about? Yes he did ok, but a few times the play was stopped and turned backwards when we were breaking, maybe a different sub, say Diouf, would have stretched them, had their back 4 20 yards further back and took some pressure off the defending

Never seen him move so quick. Looked like he'd gained a yard of pace. Then again, against their defence . . .

I would suggest the subs that Harry made with Hoillett and Zamora that put us under pressure. crouch came on and was an outlet and held the ball up well. As you would expect from someone with his experience and talent. He did play a big part in the third goal.

Crouchy did what was needed, he slowed the game up. We were 2-1 up and needed to take the sting out of QPR. Crouchies hold up play was the thing we needed. QPR were frustrated because the game was broken up. Trust MH to do the right thing, and trust the lads brought on to do the job...having said that, the Adam/Ireland swap was a bit strange, unless Ireland was asking to come off.

Once Ryan went off, Redknapp put Zamora on to try and take advantage of our defense being weaker keep the ball around our area, which seemed to be working. So Hughes got Crouch on to do much the same thing in the other direction. I thought Arnie had a good game, seeing as his main talent seems to be keeping defenses stressed and on their toes, even if a lot of what he does doesn't come off in the end.

Slow as my house, but he outsprinted two of their defenders down towards the corner late on. Probably says more about them than him, but I couldn't believe my eyes!
