Absolutely killed us, momentum wise. Isn't the first time it's happened either. Why does Hughes do it?

Adam just isn't mobile enough. Was. Sidwell on the bench today? He would have made more sense.

Why adam hasn't been sold this month I don't know. Forget every other position going forward, left back on loan stoke.

Neither subs made any sense......and both made us worse ! Adam has been crap every time he's come on recently.
We almost blew what should have been a comfortable victory at 2-0

I'm glad I am not the manager. I mean with a team desperate and coming on to us I'd never take all the threat of a pacey breakaway goal off! Must be a message to Coatesy, Let's hope so!

I think if another midfielder was put on instead of Adam it may have seemed a bit better. Unfortunately this last year Adam seems to have lost an extra inch of pace, and lets face it he arely had an inch of it to start with.
We need to cash in on him now while he's still worth something. I appreciate what he's done to help the club, some special goals (last game of the season in terms of extra money for pushing us up an extra place, and the man utd one being two of my favourites) but doesn't fit our new style.

Ireland set up Walters twice in the first half. Its mystifying why he would take Ireland off and shift Walters out onto the wing.
Absolutely no need for it

Any positives? Due to the fact we had no movement after Crouch came on, and no creative passing after Ireland went off. Plenty of positives. Muni & Wollscheid looked solid again, Walters looks a strong lone forward and Ireland filled Bojan's void superbly.

Crouch played well I thought. Adam was a weird sub though as it meant Moses was the only player left with any pace. Should have been Diouf.

Hughes took Ireland of because his hamstring was tightening up, fair decision IMO.
Wouldn't have bought Adam on though, Diouf would have made an impact I think we were lacking pace.

I agree with the OP, no need whatsoever, it didn't look as if Ireland was blowing through his arse and although Arnie wasn't having his best we were comfortable. The changes made us look all disjointed. Good result yes but we didn't half make it hard for ourselves.

I thought the subs were the right ones.
Arnie had no end product and Jon was the correct choice to shore up that side.
QPR were getting a foothold (due to a poor spell from us and Mr Dean lending a hand) and Crouch held it up quite well.
Our problems stemmed from Ryan going off injured as we looked soft as shit at the back without him.

I'm a fan Of Charlie Adam but must admit he's shocking lately when he comes on, subs were stupid and early.
