Both his assists were superb. His link up play has been exactly what we've needed.

Very intelligent player, I like Ireland a lot. Hughes will get the best out of him no doubt.

Brilliant so far, would love him to get a goal, he certainly deserves one.

He is good with pace and movement round him.
I think he struggles playing behind crouch, due to the lack of pace and movement

Through much of the Pulis era we longed for a cute attacking central midfielder. We now have two excellent ones. The wisdom of crowds sometimes.

I thought he couldn't be bothered since he since his permanent contract?

I thought he couldn't be bothered since he since his permanent contract? I've never said that mate, always rated Ireland.

Steven O'Bojan. Bet Keane and O'Neil have enjoyed the 2 goals scored so far..

I thought he couldn't be bothered since he since his permanent contract? I've never said that mate, always rated Ireland. Never thought you did mate! But there are plenty who trot that line out after any performance from Ireland where he's not close to man of the match.

Excellent today. His link up play and touch is superb. That flick for the first goal was genius.

Adam is some light years behind Ireland.

This board is a fickle place indeed. Thought Ireland was above average today and got two assists but we really don't get the ball early enough to him in attacks. Seen him play a lot better.
I do believe if he played the exact same minus the two assists people would be calling for him to be sold off.
Ireland always has that touch of class if given the opportunity. We just don't utilise him.

When he's on form he's exactly what we need. His form end of last season was one of the reasons along with Odemwingie why we went on such a good run.

Great game today but all down to one thing. Effort.
He has the talent.

did well, the backheel for SJWs 1st was class. Hopefully, he can rediscover his form from last season.

I've always thought he's played better without Crouch. At the tail end of last season when Crouch was out injured and we played Odemwingie up front, I thought it brought the best out of Ireland.
We played with a lot more fluidity and pace, that suited Ireland down to a tee.

Fantastic today,
He was subbed due to tiredness and "tight" hamstrings, need to get him fit playing 90mins

He was very good today.
Wouldn't surprise me if he's out for the next game though. I don't think he has 90 minutes in him.

Let's hope he can stay fit because he'll definitely grow into that Bojan role and this opportunity could be the making of him.
