One short satirical remark worthy of a headline in Charlie Hebdo.
But one that is true. We were the United Kingdom governed by the Royal Family. the Queen was head of state but since the devolution of Wales We as a nation seem more and more fragmented. You don't need a passport to enter Wales , but if you are resident there you get free prescriptions and other benefits that we in England don't.
Apart from the fact that they voted for devolution can someone explain to me why or how this is fair.
Scotland was given the vote to sever the ties too ....an active response to further the cause of separation and division but voted to stay in ....
By contrast , over the last 40 years we have been encouraged to embrace the cultural diversity of mass immigration and to Encourage INTEGRATION from all countries across the planet.
Summarising ....let's make the immigrants feel at home , but let's alienate the natives. Let's make them separate entities....
Surely the likes of Bradford , Leicester and similar cities have more justification for breaking free from the UK than the likes of Scotland and Wales as a result of their ethnicity and cultural identity.
Yes....some may construe this as being of racist intent , but I am more irritated by the motives of the White British Malle Governments.
It's a mixed message ...Its not a United Kingdom ...Its a bag of shit.

We are not immune down here. A stroll through Plymouth City Centre morning or afternoon reveals groups of Eastern Europeans or Asians sat outside the many cafes and coffee houses passing the time of day. If they aren't working a) why are they able to afford £3.50 for a cup of coffee and b) why are they here if they aren't working. Granted some may be shift workers but not all of them.

It's the same reason Cameron won't remove (or means test) winter fuel payments for pensioners, because there are a lot of them and they tend to vote tory.

It's the same reason labour opened the door to millions of new labour voters from europe. I don't know about the pensioners but there may have been something about the cost of admin was more than the savings, if it was viable labour would have done it in their 13 years in charge, surely? |

I doubt many have much of an issue with controlled immigration. It's the tidal wave of the past 15 or so years, which most people I know disagree with. In this parliament where apparently we were getting immigration back down to the tens of thousands another half a million have arrived or to put it another way twice the population of Stoke on Trent. This has put strain on hospitals, doctors surgeries, schools, transport and at the same time held back the wages of 99% of the population. Hardly an improvement before we even bother talking about the dilution of our own culture. Although for some our own culture doesn't seem to matter when we are talking multi culturalism. |
