Arnie can play in the Bojan role we don't need any panic buys,we wont replace Bojan with out a massive spend.

I'd be happy with Ireland for now if he can play to his ability. We need to strengthen out wide and up front.

I can't see that working but it's worth a try I suppose

Arnie has never been good in a central role.

Ireland ran the show when he came on, bossed the second half! Deserves a start based on that alone, Arnie doesn't do enough running around I don't think to be good in a central role

Not for me. He's a winger.
Ireland or Diouf if we can't get someone in on a short term deal. If we can't get someone in on a short term deal then look at a centre forward maybe?

The best player come April is Odemwingie! Priority is 1. Winger 2. Striker.

I think Arnie could work in that role but he'd need games there to get it working, which is probably a luxury we can't afford. I don't see him as a winger really although he playa well there , not sure where his best position is.

I had the same thought earlier in the day, not sure about it if I'm honest.
I'd maybe give it a shot for a few games after we're safe.

He's the best crosser of a ball we have; use where he does most damage. Out wide.

Nah don't think Arnie would work there at all. He's a winger end of. We need a busy type player in there. At the moment the only players that could play that role would be Ireland or at a push Walters. They're both hardly Bojan standard though.

Ireland is the replacement for Bojan and we must all get behind him.

Can I just point out how stupid this is.
Ignoring my views on Arnie, he IS a winger. Not a winger on the bench but due to injuries part of our first 11
We have two players who can play in the hole, but have no back up wingers unless we put Crouch back in and free up SJW
So in essence your suggesting adding another player to our stock of AMs and shortening our already limited options on the wings.
Strange logic

It may have happened more but I can only remember this happening once, Fulham away last season. It was a disaster.

I seem to remember him playing CAM at home against Aston Villa last season. Think we were 1 nil down and he was replaced by Adam at HT. Eventually won 2-1. Think Adam scored too.

He most certainly didn't play in any understanding I have the word as a 'stiker' at Fulham. We didn't have a striker that day.

Ireland/Adam unless we get a replacement.
I just hope he is not tempted with playing Walters behind Crouch.

It may have happened more but I can only remember this happening once, Fulham away last season. It was a disaster. If I cast my mind back far enough to that game, I will still wonder how the hell we managed to lose that Fulham game. We were by far the better side and Arnie was excellent, having a perfectly good goal chalked off in the process. By my reckoning, Arnie has played centrally for a total of about 1 and a half games. 90 minutes v Fulham where I thought he was excellent, 45 minutes v Villa where he was absolutely awful and a substitute appearance in a game this season for about 15 minutes where he actually played quite well. I forget who it was against though...Chelsea maybe? Arnie could do a job in that role as could Walters, as could Moses, as could Ireland and at a push, as could Adam. Even Diouf could do it if we went with the Pulis 4-4-1-1 system with Crouch up. I'm gutted at the loss of Bojan but we have some very good in our squad who can be deployed in a number of roles and do them very well. Bojan's a massive loss, as was Odemwingie, but I remain confident in our squad and confident that we will still have a very good season. Get Lennon in (or another player to fill the wide positions) and we have some pretty good flexibility in terms of covering for the loss of Bojan.

Arnie Walters Moses Diouf. Wins over qpr and newcastle leaves us on 35 points, 5 more points minimum over 14 games? We could still push for Europe

No way, we have won games from the goals Bojan has scored. Arnie cannot finish for shit, at least Ireland, despite his lack of effort, can hit the target.

He isn't a blood and thunder tackler, obviously, but I don't see any lack of effort from Ireland. Out of position at Manure for example, he didn't play great but he put in a shift and gave it his best shot on the night.
