As a Stokie for over 60 years now, I recognise that we have had many very good footballers don the red and white stripes. We have even had a few outstanding footballers tread our hallowed turf be it the Vic or the Brit. To the list of Franklin, Matthews, Hudson, Greenhoff, Banks and latterly, the Goalden one Steino, I would wish to add the name of Bojan. Ricardo Fuller occasionally highlighted the senses as well but I have not been inclined to get too excited of late, until this young lad was snatched to us by Mark Hughes. He is of international and world talent, and I was really looking forward to him helping us all to see the club lift the FA Cup this year. Maybe we can still do it - especially for him as a medal would be a real boost to his recovery - and, not wishing to diss the rest of the squad, I believe they can do it without him. Stay positive young Bojan and all true Stokies will be with you over the next few months, urging you to come back to us fit and raring to go in order to prove yourself again to the world of football, and to Stoke City Fc in particular. I can only believe what I hear regarding Franklin, and Mathews if I am being honest. Banks was world class, Greenoff and Hudson maybe one tier below. Stein and Fuller, as much as they have given the club, not even in the same league.
