Saw him earlier on a sky sports feature on tonight's game.
He is currently Rochdales academy manager and first team match day observational coach, whatever that is.
Looking forward to seeing him sulking on the bench again.

I wonder if he's gone bald and, if so, whether he puts loads of gel on his bald head.

I bet Tony Ellis, if he was still playing today, would be one of those players with a massive trendy beard, like the Leicester goalkeeper and half the Southampton team.

Still remember his chest lay offs for Bertie and his slicked flicked equaliser in a 1-1 draw at the Baggies. Bally said him and Bertie were the best strike force in Div 3. He was half right!

My main memory of Tony Ellis is seeing him on his knees grabbing his comb over and then punching the pitch in frustration at missing another chance.

I remember him headbutting a Shrewsbury player then feigning injury so the ref wouldn't send him off, he got loads of abuse from the stoke crowdas he walked off when Lou subbed him.
A total coward, wank footballer and a complete and utter cunt.

Someone once mentioned to me that he glassed someone at a club in Hanley. Don't know if there's any truth to it

When he came back with PNE he was fouled by Ronnie and he told the ref not to send Ronnie off so Tony Ellis is ace.

My main memory of Tony Ellis is seeing him on his knees grabbing his comb over and then punching the pitch in frustration at missing another chance. I remember when we signed him, I was quite excited (not quite as excited as when we signed Vince Hilaire... but still quite excited). I then remember watching him lumber through a 0-0 draw at Rotherham, and thinking how wank he was. Such highs and lows...
