BIG Stoke fan from the London branch, saw every home game for best part of 40 years travelling up from New Malden, Surrey. Loads of you will have memories of him, died last night sadly in a hospice close to his home. He'd have moved to the Potteries years ago but for his family. Sad departure. Round of applause for him Saturday ?

Gutted.......R.I.P Steve.
Everybody who knew him will tell you how friendly he was, always greeted you with a handshake and had an intense love affair with Stoke on Trent and Stoke City over the 30 odd years that i've known him.
You'll be greatly missed mate.

He once told me that he supported Stoke after he came in the Boothen with his Leeds mates and got a good kicking. His theory was that He had better support Stoke as they were much harder than Leeds. He was friendly and told me about this political leanings and about his 'collection', I got a different train to matches after that.

I can't comment on Steve's political views but I will never forget many moons ago an away at Brighton when we went on an unofficial coach calling in at his pub / local ( never sure if it was his or not) then on to Central London on the way back to Stoke.
Figgy, Ryder, Animal, John (Animals brother), Oppo et all
One of the best weekends ever and Steve treated us like royalty
RIP big man
Stoke City until I die too

well said stokemark, whatever we think about Steve's political views, it could also be said that there's plenty of people also from the extreme left and with medieval religious views who get a good platform in the media so 'what's good for the goose etc etc.....' I only started the thread to acknowledge that here was a Londoner who genuinely loved Stoke City and the people of the potteries so why not give him a clap and a cheer during the 60th minute of the QPR match (he was 60 when he passed) to repay a tiny part of the tens of thousands of pounds he must have spent on Stoke....
BRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPP !!
