The question to ask is if he is so bad that he wouldn't be good enough for Stoke, why does and why will he continue to play for far superior teams than us? Also 'shipping him out after 18 months' sounds a lot like our boy Bojan. If, as you say, Bojan is better than Balotelli (something you're judging from a few great months with us, rather than a pretty poor few years before us), then how is it rational to say Mario is a 'useless waster' after a poor few months with Liverpool and despite a much better career than Bojan? Moses Balotelli Walters Bojan What's not to like? ???? The bit where Balotelli sulks and walks around the pitch instead of digging in?

Is everyone pissed? It's nice that there is noticeable improvement in our on field play and perception of the club off field, but a reality check is required. He might be a bit of a slouch and having a bad time at L'pool but he's too high profile a player to ever consider coming here. As I understand it was a tenuous link anyway. We're going in the right direction, but this is pie in the sky. It's hilarious how ignorant people are. I have to say I missed the part where Stoke became a Champions League calibre club, with top quality forwards. Balotelli would be the clubs best player by a distance, hence why even if he were to move from Liverpool, he would go to a much better club than us. Apparently I'm ignorant enough to know that he hasn't even sniffed the back of the net in a Prem game this season, and cant seem to crack a very mediocre clubs top eleven. He'd be our best player? Hell no. No idea what your watching.

Not cup tied. And why the hell would we want to take Liverpools problem away from them? They bought him, they can have him. Just another example of the genius that is Brendan Rodgers. "why the hell,,," Senegal Injury to Crouch or SJW Not too many centre-forwards in the shops I'm not his biggest fan by any means ...but ... IF we win Monday and don't draw Liverpool ...think Sparks will have a little think. I'd much rather get Borini.

Tells me all ~I need to know about Borini (he can't be all that)

If he was that good then why do all these clubs keep shipping him out after 18 months? (Forget the idiotic behaviour) His career is on the down and he won't score more than 10 goals a season again (from open play). Bojan has the mentality to put the work in. Can you really see Bibotelli putting a shift in when we really need it? I mention his poor form at Liverpool, but when has he ever really played that well? The year Man City won the league, his first assist of the season was the final game against QPR for Auguero to score "that" goal. He was suspended just before that, and Dzeko came in and scored a load of goals. If it wasn't for Bibotelli getting sent off, Man City wouldn't have won the league. AC Milan finished 8th last season with him there, their LOWEST finish since 1998! Man City win the league the season after he leaves. Liverpool don't want to play him even when they are struggling to score goals. He is a liability on AND off the field and I don't want him anywhere near my football club. He is poison!

Okish goal scoring record at City I guess, but how hard can that be? Wiki has 30 goals in 80 appearances Decent in a poor Italian League Liverpool is the one real test he's had in his career, and he's looked absolutely dire, he's showed nothing in both effort and talent. Rather leave this alone.

Rather leave this alone. Half of his City goals were penalties! Take them away and no better than Walters or Crouch. Take away he was playing for one of the best sides in the league that created loads of chances, then he is NO better than Walters and Crouch. His Italian record (again without the penalties) is no better than Diouf's record in Germany!

Im not saying I wouldnt have him at our club but his attitude is just wrong. Is goalscoring record for previous clubs is decent. Clearly he has never settled at any club and he needs a rocket up his arse to get motivated to play.

Which Balotelli do you think we'd get? All I'm saying is I don't like rolling the dice on him. Too much of a downside, imo.

So Balotelli's character is all wrong for Stoke according to this thread. His attitude, sulking, laziness, bad influence etc does not suit us.
All these anti Stoke characteristics have been thrown at present players Arnie and Nzonzi in recent times, yet we seem to have come to terms with them somehow.
The chances of Mario coming are next to zero but let's not forget that we seem to have an off-field team that works extremely well with its players.
There was a thread not so long ago on the lines of 'are we putting ourselves down" well I think this is the perfect thread example, we are becoming a club that can handle rogue players and do it very well.

I just don't want us to handle rogue players that don't put the ball in the back of the net once in awhile. If he does come here, which he wont, and he suddenly starts to contribute, which he wont, I'lll be the first to admit that I was wrong. I think I'm safe.

Agreed, thankfully. Talented obviously, but not particularly effective in the Prem, divisive and difficult to manage.

Liverpool fans don't think he is good enough for them (they would wouldn't they anyway )and do criticise him but in fact not many of them them do so because of a lack of effort which I find interesting.
