Manchester city losing to middlesborough, sothampton losing to palace chelsea losing to bradford tottenham losing to leicester..... Common denominator! ..... All fielded weakened teams, we have now got a great chance of going a good way this year, dont blow it on monday with a weakened team similar to the last round

Too True - you turn up half cocked or, think you can just turn up after getting off a plane from the middle east having played 'bitch' to your towel headed owners
and you get dumped on your arse
great stuff

The results will certainly give MH some food for thought!
A potential advantage for all teams playing after these results?
The top teams - start with a strong 11 - beware of complacency
Underdogs - anything is possible

It's more than thinking 'we mustn't be complacent' it needs a mindset which says 'we are going to go out there and force the issue'

Yes I agree 5th favourites now behind The Shit, Arsenal, Liverpool & West Ham.Don't risk Ryan & Bojan if he's not 100%, except for that full strength please Hughesy. The Shit, Arsenal & Liverpool will still concentrate on finishing top 4 so great chance for us again this season to get to Wembley.

It also means there shouldn't be a bloody meltdown on here if it does because if it can happen to all those teams it sure as hell can happen to us

After todays results and seeing the shit labouring heavily against an average cambridge side, I am suddenly very worried about a trip to Rochdale.
They are going to be very encouraged by what they have seen today and I think we will need at least a 90% full strength team that has turned up with its "head on" to get the job done. They will have a pretty motivated team on their hands in Rochdale who come into the game off the back of some good wins. They are not going to be star struck by us.
Get this one under our belt and a good draw in the next round and we are in the quarter finals with only a handful of "big" teams left. Worth taking it very serious after today.

With this, my 1000th post, I express total agreement with the OP. Rochdale is a huge banana skin for Stoke, whose record in cup ties like this is littered with cock-ups.
As well as being a lesson learned, the Chelsea, Man City, Southampton, Swansea, and Spurs results have created a massive opportunity for the likes of Stoke to get to Wembley once if not twice. Let's make sure we take advantage.

I always feel better when there has already been a few a shocks.
Who ever is picked we should be fully switched on and at least as motivated as the opposition.
The fact that Chelsea, Citeh etc have gone should make all of the players fully aware of the need to guard against complacency.
I expect Hughes will have the team well prepared. Reminding everyone of today's results should be a part of the team talk.

Full team for me. Bojan and all. Monday night is now more important than the next premier league game. We have a massive chance to go all the way.

If we do make it past Rochdale, which by no means is guaranteed, there will not be many teams left in the competition that I'd expect us to lose to. Arsenal, maybe Liverpool, maybe Man United. All of those cup-sets are very good news for us if we are to make a cup run!

Not sure how much of a distraction the 5th round draw at 7-15pm will be.
We really should be using all of our experience and fitness to get through and need to keep a core of established players who are used to working together - N'Zonzi, Whelan, Walters battling in the middle
With that in mind, I would start Crouch - he has the opportunity to unsettle them imo
An early goal for us, would settle some nerves

Play a strong team. Get Crouchy up top and tell him to play with his knees and elbows.
I want us to do this lot and do 'em good.

A strong team wouldn't include Huth, he looked uncomfortable on the ball v Wrexham and was part of the reason are build up was so slow. He also got beaten in the air. He needs to get out on loan. Many I think what him in for sentimental reasons. He is a legend but he's not the future. Same team as Leicester.
