Would you pay 8m+ for him? I don't think I would. Who's suggesting he's worth that? I think that's what they'd want. Brit Assombalonga went for 5 million from L1 to Championship. Dwight Gayle went went for about the same from L1 to Championship. He's at a big club who get top dollar for their players, he's doing really well and the killer is that he's English so that's another premium. You'd do well to get change from 8m imo.

If he's got a big contract I think they will. In which case he'll stay at Chelsea and go out on loan. Nobody will pay that.

So you're making it up then? As theonlooker suggests, if Chelsea want that no one will pay it. But he'll probably go on loan to a lower league Premier League team instead of a Championship one. If he proves his worth THEN someone will pay it, or Chelsea might want to keep him. It's win win for Chelsea and exactly why they hoard players and just loan them out season after season..........

I think a Bournemouth would, Blackburn paid 8m for Jordan Rhodes (again from League One) which was madness. I think he'll go on loan to a Premier League club too but if someone bid that money they'd sell him and English football has shown that it will play silly money for lower league strikers. The precedents have been set.

I actually said Bojan was too lightweight for the Prem -and for a while he was -by his own admission- until he bulked up. Anyway you crack on thinking Patrick Bamford is the second coming. We all bow to your superior football insight and knowledge :-)

On today's evidence Bamford is way too lightweight. He's slow ,lightweight and a good championship player. The gullible believe the hype.

It was but it is about the going rate for a striker who has done it in the Championship. If he's got a year left on his contract someone might get him for 4/5m.

Balls to Bamford, if we're lusting after Championship players then get Odion Ighalo in, is that 19 goals he's scored now?
Managed 4 in one game earlier in the season.

The man who's slightly unhealthy obsession with Peter Crouch is saying that another player won't make it just because he's slow?
You couldn't make this shit up.

He's a million miles away full stop- and anyone who knows anything about football can see that. Love a good old fashioned sweeping statement. I mean it's CLEAR, OBVIOUS in fact. That's why he's on the books of arguably the top side in the country, scoring goals in an ever improving 2nd division after impressive showings in the third. But, as usual, football clubs don't know anything about football.

Another one Ulloa to Leicester-8m It's about the money. Ross McCormack 11m. Ulloa was daft. McCormack just isn't even on the stupidity radar. Ulloa scored for fun in the first few months of Leicester's campaign. 7 goals in 20 all season is still a decent enough record at Premiership level. You call it daft, but offer him to us for 5 million (standard depreciation considering they're a relegated team and he's a year older) and I would bite your hand off. Clearly has a goal in him. McCormack was a bit of a joke at 11 million and his goal scoring record has been pretty poor for Fulham, especially when Cameron Jerome at 1 million has been taking the piss and still has the chance to be the top scorer.
