Not quite as good as his "Goals are irrelevant" speech! H
Who can forget his 'Europa League is full of pub teams' and 'winning it will be a formality'?
The Europa league is full of pub teams. Do you think the likes of Thun would hold their own in L1? I've forgotten his "winning it will be a formality", assuming he did say it I'd wager a fair bit that it'd be tongue in cheek

One manager massively failed last night and one succeeded.
One set of supporters were broadly happy and one set were to a man angry and disappointed.
It's not a fucking beauty contest. You sound like Tony Moanbray rim jobs and just the kind of supporters we used to laugh at, at West Brom!

So why didn't we win it then?

thirty thousand plus fans chanting " we'll play how we want " at wembley.....some have very short memories. Be glad of who we have in charge now and stop looking back in anger for no reason. Leave your hate for the likes of Steve Cotterill.

Indeed, I'll hazard a guess that West Brom are generally sick of being a bit of a soft souch over the years and are willing to give it a go under Pulis...don't blame them really. They certainly didn't look like a team that will go down last night in what I saw of the last 20 minutes and they were fucking awful when they played us.

I'm still laughing at West Brom's fans and a couple of Excuse and Star and Birmingham Mail reporters. The very same numpties who looked down their noses at us for nigh on a decade and who claimed they'd rather see their club relegated than play the Pulis Way are now welcoming him as their saviour. I think it's all rather sweet.

I wonder how West Bromwich "I'd rather be relegated than watch that shit every week" Albion fans are feeling this morning?

People reading this board regularly know I'm a big fan of TP and what he did at Stoke, but yesterday I was actually very happy we ended up with Hughes. WBA were really dreadful going forward against Everton, but despite that they got a point. I guess TP and the WBA fans are OK with that, but for any neutrals it was a shit boring game! WBA had 0 efforts on goal, and Everton lacked the quality to break them down except from a cheap penalty though. When you watch your side playe you are always excited, but God what a dreadful game I watched last night!

I'll always be grateful to Pulis and wish him well wherever he goes (as long as he doesn't out do us), but surely you can see the hilarity in the whole thing? Those West Brom fans that were so disgusted at our club for performances like the one they put in last night, are now having to scramble around for excuses as to why its ok. Add that fucking nugget Lepkowski into the mix, and gets even funnier

When Mark Hughes made a disappointing start to his job at Stoke people quite rightly said he needs time, some said we should judge him after two seasons.
Tony Pulis has been in charge at West Brom for three games!!!!

West Brom have been a yo-yo club, Pulis will change that. If you're replying to me could you use the 'quote' button? He probably will change that, but this appears, to me at least, to be a thread about the match last night, your post appeared (to me anyway) to be using the fact that he hasn't been there long to excuse the shit football on show?

I think West Brom were promoted to the PL for the first time in 2002, since then they have been relegated three or four times, they are a yo-yo club.
