Poor choice of tackle IMHO. No need for it!

I like Sidwell, but that's twice this season hes jumped in giving away a stupid foul right on the edge of the box, and twice its led to a goal. 1 being yesterday (given the game was already lost) but at QPR earlier this season it cost us 2 points! Needs to be more careful

I'm sure it's his mission that, no matter how long he's on the pitch for he has to get himself a card of some sort. Guys a liability. Once again we've signed a player who's lost his way/past his best!

No surprise he's getting stick. A stupid challenge on the edge of the box cost us big time. It's one thing finding your feet after coming back fom injury, it's another to do something really stupid. Particularly after making the same mistake against QPR. Cost us big time ? I don't think so The game was gone well before that, probably before they got off the bus the performance we put in.

At 2-0 we were still in the game. If we could have got the next goal - who knows. We've come back from 2 goals down before away from home. Not often, true. But it is possible. I can't recall us coming back from a 3-0 deficit. Going to 3-0 right after half time destroyed any possibility of a comeback.

It was a pretty daft challenge, but I thought on another day in another ground, it might not have been given. He took a lot of the ball. John Moss is your typical Arsenal ref, he gave everything to them and that was another thing. It didn't change the result, we wouldn't have got 2 back.

I misread it as The Sidwell Lounge and was wondering if it might be worth trying it for a bit of hospitality at a game before the end of the season.

It's a bit depressing to see these threads about poor individual performances when it was clearly a pretty poor effort from MOST of our players. Sidwell got on to the pitch as a replacement for another player that has been crucified on here so I don't see as it actually made that much difference since HIS piss poor tackle contributed hugely to a previous goal. It would be very easy to pick out 70% of the players yesterday and highlight just how bloody awful they were but what's the point. As a team we were shite and there were far too many very poor individual performances for me to want to highlight any one of them as any worse than the rest, particularly a player who has just returned from injury. Very poor day at the office but let's move on eh, because some would have us getting rid of half the team from what I've read today. Talk about over reaction.
