On the PC (not the shitty watered down playstation version), Premier Manager 99 was an absolutely glorious game. It was years ahead of its time and absolutely destroyed crappy manager 99 (as I used to refer to it). The gap between those two games was insurmountable at the time and CM (now FM) has been been playing catch up for years and only really in about 2010 did they finally get onto the same level. Unfortunately, it's brilliance and, to a certain degree its complexity, rubbed some people up the wrong way, who just wanted a dumb arse game where they could sign Zidane and Figo to Ipswich Town for 1 million each.
Still, if you want to have a bit of fun with Stoke and some dreadful players (and a few good'uns), download it and give it a shot.

Having effectively played this over any other game since it was released probably 2 years ago, it definitely has to be 'Rocket League' for me.
Previously Goldeneye and Mario Kart 64.
