The irony of all this is fucking hilarious!! Though they'll be a tougher team to beat now, admittedly. 'I'd rather get relegated than watch that shit' was their cry. Well, possibly a good job he's been appointed now. West Brom have got a decent team somewhere, and I think they'll be safe. My train home went through both Smethwick stations and I didn't see a single person with pins in their eyes (red-hot or otherwise)!  It would be fun if they had to watch "that shit" and get relegated but I think it will be money for old rope for TP because I think there are easily 3 worse Teams in the League. Strangely enough, a Villa fan was also telling me how he wished TP was going to be their manager, on the basis that it might be dreadful to watch but at least it was successfully dreadful, whereas Lambert is playing dreadful and unsuccessful football. Apparently they are currently the 2nd lowest scorers in the whole of Europe! The world has gone bonkers!  |

That, apart from Ric, was the most exciting thing about the football itself for about five years until we got Ethers and Pennant together for that short space of time, then it soon went wank again! Edit- Not that I didn't enjoy promotion, survival, the FA Cup final and Europe, mind! |

One thing is sure, they won't be the relative pushover for us that they've been in the last.
Whatever people's opinions of Pulis and his style of play, or on what went wrong towards the end of his time at Stoke, you can be certain West Brom aren't being relegated any more.
It's pretty amusing though, given their fans' previous opinion of him. I suspect they'll change their tune somewhat when he saves them from oblivion.
Good luck to him I say. Pulis is very good at what he does and it's a shrewd appointment by West Brom.
