Last Season (from todays date)
Home vs Arsenal Home vs Hull Home vs Newcastle
This Season
Away vs Man City Home vs Newcastle
Its a worrying statistic, especially considering that a solid back 4 and keeper used to be the bed rock. Add to that, we don't score an awful lot more goals than we ever did, and it starts to look worrying. As it is, we should still be fine, but we definetly need a few more unsoiled sheets to help us propel up the table (along with a few goals of course).

I haven't had a clean sheet since we signed Bojan.

Given that this calendar year has seen us achieve our best points tally in the premier league.
Given that we achieved our highest league position in the premier league.
Given that this season there are only SIX teams in the premier league that have conceded less goals than Stoke City.
Given Stoke City has progressed significantly over the last 18 months and there are so many positives points to talk about at the moment, I find the statements in the OP very strange?

I don't think it's strange to suggest the lack of clean sheets is a problem. It is.

I don't think it's strange to suggest the lack of clean sheets is a problem. It is. I think by a minority of fans the perceived 'lack of clean sheets' is greatly exaggerated as a problem. The facts speak for themselves, our defensive record is above average in a league where many of the worlds greatest attacking players ply their trade.

But still, we have lost every game we have lost by the odd goal. if we had kept it tight at the back in just one or 2 of Villa, Leicester, Soton or Bin Dippers, we would have nicked a few more points, possibly more if we then pushed on at 0-0 and nicked a winner. if we start getting the clean sheets in, we will only need one goal to win, and be guaranteed a point if we fail to do that.

I don't think it's strange to suggest the lack of clean sheets is a problem. It is. The biggest problem we have.

And four home defeats in less than half a season...not great.

How does that 'fact' speak any louder than the fact we can't keep a clean sheet and it's costing us? Silly goals given away this season have cost us a bagful of points in winnable games.
