Did we take him for the whole season? Doesn't seem to play any part at all so why keep him? If possible send him back to free up for one more loanee! Still think we need another winger/striker who will score regularly to achieve what we did last season. That said Walters' goal rate isn't that bad actually!

Strange isn't it? I mean we even agreed terms with Liverpool to sign him over the summer and it was only the players wage demands which ultimately scuppered the deal. I guess having him on loan and not playing him is cheaper than having paid £ 7 million for him and not playing him. Neither would have probably been best though. But what do I know

I'd let him go and buy Sako from Wolves who is out of contract at the end of the season!!!!

I think he deserves a chance
He does have something to offer, some pace, prepared to shoot, improved at tracking back
He also would be keen to prove his worth in "the shop window" to secure a permanent role somewhere! - maybe here if Moses moves on and we can buy him at a reasonable price
He's only 26, a player with international experience (albeit with Morocco)
Time will tell

1 start and 5 sub appearances for a bloke we were prepared (in austerity mode) to splash up to £7m on.
And he was still loaned in after Moses' arrival. It is a bit odd, and he can't be a happy bunny.
Do we need Liverpool's approval to end the loan early or is it standard to have a break clause in season-long loans?

We've played 16 out of 38 games. Even after the Odemwingie and Moses injuries, he hasn't seen his usage improve though, has he? Diouf and Walters have unexpectedly become first choice wide men (don't think anyone would've called that over the summer!)- and Arnie is back-up. When Moses gets back, Assaidi will move back to 5th choice.

I think it would be better for the player and Lpool to send him somewhere else. Why he hasn't been as influencial this time as last season is hard to tell, but if he can't hack it we need to get rid ASAP!

I'd run my lips over his abs and suck him until he popped like warm champagne... if I wasn't with Bojan.

We are playing 5 games in next 14 days so I think he will get some game time unless he is injured.

Comes down to two possibilities for me, he is either carrying some sort of permanent niggle or he is showing sweet fa in training. I know where my money is.

Id imagine if we'd have paid 7 mill for him we wouldn't have gone ahead with Moses. Obviously the Odemwingie injury meant we had to go back in for somebody at short notice and I suppose his was probably the easiest deal to complete given he already knows the club and Liverpool probably didn't have any offers from anywhere else.
Since he's got here he appears to have done nothing to force his way into the side like our Austrian enigma. What this is down to is anybody's guess but its certainly odd that somebody like Diouf is making a better job of playing on the winger than either of our 'natural' wingers.

At least I hope this saved us from spending most of the quoted £7M on him!
