FFP is designed to help the big teams with the most money to keep the status quo. If it hurt the big clubs then it would never of been introduced.

They could just sign Ryan Shotton instead. Much the same thing apparently. Right TP?

yeah thats what they need, another attacker........utd get 2 solid CB's, some 'wing' backs and they might just win this league, they won't out score enough teams however unless they address there defensive issues, without Carrick they look dreadful

I'm not sure why he'd leave challenging trophies at Madrid for mid-table mediocrity, unless they want rid of him.

Sign Hummels and Strootman and they'll be top two next season.

It just needs FIFA to introduce worldwide a REAL salary cap, along the same lines as Rugby League with an absolute maximum value. At the moment, it's how much money you've got, or can borrow in some cases, that dictates who wins anything. We will never get a level playing field with all teams having a chance until this comes in. As I've said on here before, until there is a sensible salary cap, they may as well just take Arse, Chelsea, Man U , Man city , Spurs and Liverpool and form a Premier Premiership and leave the rest of us to compete in Premiership division 2, because in reality thats virtually, with occassional odd exceptions, what we're doing. Playing for 7th onwards. Premiership footballers are just paid far, far too much. It's obscene and wrong. Rant over.

A Club which won the Title in 2012/2103 then spends £150m in the Summer of 2014, would I imagine expect to finish top 3. IMHO they still need to spend more in January to do that.

I would like them to have a dose of mid table mediocrity. I ask the question. Why do they have a divine right to be at the top. I want change!

Man Utd must be allowed to stay at the game's top table. We can't have a load of upset 9 year olds in Surrey.

Even if Bale were to go there (which I can't see happening any time soon due to his amazing form in Madrid) they still have an awful defence, an average midfield, and they are a shadow of the team they once were under Fergie.
They probably need to spend half a billion or more to have a team good enough to challenge for the Champions League, and even then it still takes years for a team to gel.
The bubble has to burst one day.

He should stay where he is. The shit might offer fortunes but some things are more important. And he's got plenty of money now anyway.

Hes been fairly average for a while now and Isco is slowly staking a claim for his spot as Madrid look much better with him playing.

Madrid are on fire at the moment and Bale is an important part of that, I can't see why they would let him go even if he was open to the idea.

The whole game is corrupt to the core. Time to tell the FA, FIFA, UEFA etc. to fuck off and let people with the game's best interests at heart run the thing. Majority fan owned clubs, ticket price cap, grass routes funding...

Hes keeping his place because hes popping up with the goals, but otherwise his general game is not up to the standard of his teammates currently.

I highly doubt Bale would want to leave his dream career and life at Madrid. According to reports he would spend all his free time at home in Cardiff while at Southampton and Spurs so he could well be homesick. Don't see why it wouldn't be United if he came back, like it or not they will always be there or there abouts. FFP has only furthered the divide between the "top" clubs and the rest.
