Why wouldn't you have a dig at the bloke who made you the best defender in the country? Jesus wept, I don't think Tazi is the only one to lose all perspective. Get a grip lads. Very true. Ryan wouldn't stoop so low as to have a dig about a manager that did so much to help his development. Spot on. Can't believe people think Ryan would swipe Pulis. He owes Tony a lot and I imagine his respect for TP is through the roof.

What a brilliant article and to think his dad reads this site is tremendous. Happy Xmas Mr & Mrs Bojan from Stoke on Trent. Mr and Mrs Bojan are from Stoke? That explains how we got him then.

Those two articles have to be the most surreal I've ever read about Stoke.
As indicators of how far we've come and how the club has been transformed you couldn't get any better.
Sometimes you really have to step back and just enjoy the ride.
Barces two youngest ever players....playing for us....with their best years ahead of them.....and loving it!!!!
Happy Cristmas Mr Krcic Snr and Jnr if you're reading.

A nice bit of publicity for our club. I thought this thread might have added something to the article but sadly some of our posters feel that they deserve more attention than our star player. ???? One another note, what are a big family of Serbo-Catalans going to find to do with themselves in Cheshire/North Staffordshire over the Christmas period? After the ice skating at Trentham Gardens, a site seeing tour of the new Hanley bus station and a Panto what else are they going to get up to after Boxing Day? I imagine they'll find summat - www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attractions-g186375-Activities-Staffordshire_England.htmlThere's 116 attractions in Staffordshire according to TA www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attractions-g186232-Activities-Cheshire_England.htmlAnd 125 in Cheshire How many will be open at this time of year I've no idea. That aside, it's a shame that Bojan article was in a newspaper I can't stand because it's one of the best I've ever read. Bet we'd all love a pint or two with Bojan Sr, seems a sound bloke from that. We're unbelievably lucky to have Bojan at our club, if we're not already being envied by the fans of many other clubs, we soon will be.

Happy Cristmas Mr Krcic Snr and Jnr if you're reading. I think it's that last part that means the most to me. They are both enjoying it. It means more when you know they actually are enjoying their football. I genuinely smiled when Bojan Snr said his son was happy and that made him happy too. His parents sound like two very caring people who have seen their son go through some really difficult times in football. It's a ruthless sport and we can only imagine how hard it must have been when he was ostracized by senior players at Barca. Big name players who should have helped him seemed to have their own egos at the top of their agenda. We all think of footballers as robots but you see here they're not. Bojans parents. They've seen him hurt by Barca and struggle to perform on loans. They've probably had the inevitable tears and pain of seeing their son go through hard times in his career. Brings you back down to earth a bit.

Reading that, you get a sense that moving to a team like Stoke is exactly what he needs. He gets all the freedom he needs in the middle of the pitch, he shines every week and there's none of the pressure that comes with being at a team accustomed to challenging for trophies. Just to be on the safe side, he should sign a 20 year contract with us and stay for the rest of his career. I did have a laugh at this though: '‘Have you been on here?’ he laughs, pointing at his mobile phone, ‘It is the Oatcake fanzine — the Stoke fans have a forum where they create songs for Bojan. ‘We like the ‘Mr Bojan-goals’ one and this one,’ he giggles, breaking into the chant, ‘Olé, Olé, Olé, Olé, Bojan, Bojan.’' Reading that he sounds like a fantastic character and an incredibly supportive father. It would be great to think that both Bojan and the fans can put on a great performance or two over the Christmas period to let his family know he's found a good home here at Stoke. I remember the impact that Juninho had at M'boro, or Jay-Jay at Bolton, and I reckon Bojan can do the same in our red & white stripes and become a legend for us.

Im adding Bojan's dad to the list of people id sell my arse to. That list is now: 1. Bojan 2. Bojan's dad 3. Both of the above
Admittedly, the third one seemed a bit odd before.

We really have to make some noise for him regardless of performance this next couple of weeks.
Technically he's clearly one of the most talented players in the world and all his issues in football have been in his head, if we can keep him happy and loved we're going to be very, very lucky.

Bojan to score the winner in the FA Cup Final??? I know I'm just dreaming but sometimes in football these things can happen...... Whatever....even in his short time here Bojan has been a breath of fresh air on and off the pitch. Very rare to find a player as gifted who is so humble and grounded. Let's hope there's lots more to come.

Fantastic article and after reading that I'm even more convinced that Bojan won't just dump us for a big club at the first opportunity. He seems genuinely settled and happy and they do say home is where the heart is!
Anymore fantastic players that have lost their love of football, or not enjoying the pressure of the big clubs they are at or maybe just need to find a home that will love them please contact us at stoke city fc Long may it continue

Let's hope there's lots more to come. Well, we did the same with Ethers. Took a talented player, going through a tough time and had him playing the best football of his career. Fans care about the players and so do the club. Perhaps we are just a bit special in that regard. Not many other clubs have such a relationship.

I'd like everyone to take a moment to consider that Bojan's family didn't fancy Christmas in Rome or Milan, but have hopped straight on the plane at the first opportunity to spend it in Stoke.

Great article and to hear how happy he is at Stoke. I think the Bojan signing working out will have a much bigger impact on our reputation to attract more top talent.
Can Bojan invite some of his mates over from his Spain under-21 days?

Very happy after reading that, it couldn't have happened more perfectly for us, a world class player that has already been at the top clubs in Europe and never felt at home has decided to settle down at little old Stoke, he knows what the pressure is like at that level and isn't too keen on going back there just yet I wasn't too happy at first but thank god Sparky came along, Sergi Roberto anyone?

Hope fully Señor Bojan did not read any of the early posts from some of the doom merchants on this forum. Hang your heads in shame, you know who you are.
Bojan: most technically gifted player in the history of our storied club and a top lad to boot! I am sure Dutch Stokie agrees we wil never forget standing in the rain in Riet I'm Winkl watching his debut against TSV 1860. Seminal moment for Stoke City.

Just picked this up: "‘I will never forget,’ he says. ‘I ran a youth football club in Catalonia. Bojan was only five and he came along to games. One day, we were one short to play seven-a-side and one of the coaches said, “Let’s put your son in”. Bojan was dressed in a Barca kit, the same colours as our team. The first time he gets the ball he starts dribbling towards his own goal and takes a shot! We are shouting, “Bojan, stop, stop!” That was his first experience in football. It got better." We've had first teamers aged 25+ do that.
