Last minute winner in the local derby. For who? Is it victory that play Stoke colours? Melbourne heart used to play in Stoke colours but Man City's owners bought them and changed it to Melbourne City and changed the shirt to white and sky blue. Melbourne city won in the last minute.

In that case would have preferred Victory to win Money talking again. As a matter of interest did the Heart fans boycott the games when their teams name and colours changed - personally would hate that thing to happen over here, although it is already happening with some clubs

A lot of them weren't pleased about the colour change but overall they were relieved to get bought and the club become secure because they were skint and in Victory's shadow.

Think I'd rather Stoke go broke than have to change there name and colours - It's like a total identity change. I think the majority feel this way in blighty - if you look at Wimbledon and Cardiff examples Although in Aus I am guessing the pro game is in its infancy, so there is probably not the same connection to the clubs that we have over here.

A-League started in 2005 but pro football has been here for yonks. When I arrived it was the NSL and it was a melee of problems and internal wrangling. At least now the headlines are made by football itself and not administrators.
