I see that Bet365 are doing one of their rather generous free £50 in-play bet offers on Monday (and for the Liverpool v Arsenal game as well!) The offer is that if you bet up to £50 on any pre-match market then you get up to £50 free to bet in-play. The astute among you will know that if you can lay your original bet off on Betfair* then you're effectively getting a £50 bet for no risk whatsoever. Unfortunately I'll be at the match and I've not got a fancy phone, so unless I can give the wife step-by-step instructions on how to do this without fucking it up, I won't be partaking. However, if you are then read my blog for some absolutely clueless tips on how to "lose" a free £50. www.olbg.com/blogs/post.php?id=408328* other methods of laying the bet off are available.

There is the same offer on the Liverpool Vrs Arsenal game tomorrow aswell.
I'm struggling to find a market where i can lay my bet off on betfair exchange at evens.
I could back under 2.5 goals on befair at 11/10, however on befair the market price is currently 2.3 meaning my liability for a £50 stake would be £65. I could set the price at 2.0(evens) but I run the risk of it being unmatched.
Any ideas on an easier way to do it?
Ps) last week I manged to do it betting on and laying over 10.5 corners on the Man Utd Vrs Liverpool game last Sunday . I used my risk free £50 bet to back Man Utd to win 3-1 at 14/1, so close to a very merry Christmas ????.

I either do <3.5 first half goals or if you are quick you can get on Twitter an hour before for team sheets and then put your 50 quid on a player to score first who isn't even in the squad but who is listed on the site.
Result: Bet gets void but still entitles you to the 50 quid in-play.
I won £600 with this offer in the Champions League final last season. Put it on Sergio Ramos any time.

It's worth noting that I wouldn't ever bet 50 quid on a single bet unless it was an absolute banker and even then I'd be concerned. So just looking for a way to make a (largely) risk free profit.
With the actual in play bet itself I typically try to go Billy Big Balls by putting a defender on any time. If I have a risk free bet I wanna make it pay.
May do Skrtel or Chambers any time tomorrow.

A fancy phone??!!? Arf!!!! I'm forty plus, total technophobe and as far from cutting edge as you could probably get. And even my bloody phone gets on the internet FFS!!!! And to think, I imagined you as some kind of uber-cool, contemporary man about town. It's like finding out that Ryan Shawcross has a lisp.

In regards to laying off the bet, I usually back over 0.5 goals with bet 365, then put a few quid on 0-0 with another bookie.
It tends to lose about £2-£3 depending on the odds, but if I'm getting a free £50 bet as a result then it's worth it.

Cheers for the tip(s) ????, backed sanogo first scorer pre-match and got that duely refunded. Then went Skrtel anytime scorer in play. Result = Merry Christmas with a very tidy profit :-) What is everyone thinking of betting on this evening?

I did Sterling two goals or more... probably should have backed myself again (did Skrtel last time and lost)

I did Sterling two goals or more... probably should have backed myself again (did Skrtel last time and lost) I had Arsenal to win, but was honestly hovering over 2-1 and 2-2 scorelines. Going for a draw this evening... if I can trust the Mrs to put the bet on right. (that's a 10/1 shot in itself).

So I put £5 on a player who's not in the team to score first. I get that fiver back as it will be void. This entitles me to a free £5 in play bet that can go on anything and if I win I keep it?
