According to that load of old dump the Sun this morning.
Be amazed if he did go this next window, and gutted if he ever went at all.

If he does go (which I don't think he will) then it shows to me that PC has pretty much lost interest (or should I say John and Denise have!)
Like I say though, don't think he will go.

Simply staggering that anyone could give anything written in The Sun any airtime at all. Don't you know they have an army of minions sitting in a darkened back room making this stuff up?

Actually believe Ryan is better than Roma anyway.
Serie A is in a serious decline.

Makes no sense for the club to sell there captain and argubly most valuable asset.
The stench of self made media tripe imo!

We won't sell any of our "top players" in January. Not that I believe he would go to Italy anyway.

Dosent strike me as the most cultured bloke (unlike myself) can't see him getting on with the viva Italian life style.
Tapas marra?!

With Hodgson in charge, a move abroad might be the only way he'll get another call up. He certainly won't be called up whilst he is with us and I fear his reputation with the London media is such that even a move to a top four might not be enough.
Excelling in a top flight abroad and in Europe but out of the spotlight of the gutter press would not be the worst thing for Ryan. it would be easy for Woy to recall him if the foreign reports were favourable.

Discussing it now on Talksport,Colin Murray and Perry Groves.Perry Groves very complimentary and fair play only mentioned 'that' accidental incident when asked if he would like Ryan at Arseoles. He said yes but no chance because of the history but repeated what we all know that it was an unfortunate accident.

Talk sport have spent the last half an hour singing his praises saying he could do a job at all of the top 5. This Roma thing won't go away. Some somewhere is angling to get him a move this January:(. That would be absolutely crazy. Coates get your wallet out and extend his xontract

Money talks, but we'd need £50m for him which is what we'd lose by getting relegated if we sold him....

If the money is right we can't stand in his way.
Anything over £10million and I reckon he could go.

He's far, far too good for the pub league that is Serie A.
May as well drop down to the Championship.

Becoming self-sufficient means that at some point we're going to sell one, many or all of Shawcross, Begovic, N'Zonzi and Bojan. There's simply no other way for a club our size to survive in modern football without Coates continually ploughing money in, which is not ideal for the club to have so much of their financial stability relying on a single man [or possibly family in this case]. If Shawcross were to go to Roma, which I don't believe he will based on the fact that it is The Sun reporting it, it won't be a sign of Coates disinterest in the club.
We've been incredibly luck that as one of the smaller clubs in the top flight we have managed to keep hold of Shawcross and Begovic for so long, when they are clearly good enough for a higher level.

Him & Muniesa are the future at the heart of the defence, I'm convinced on it.
